Just brought from boots and it's so so weak compared to the 2022 batch iv got. Done 1 spray on each arm and new one was completely gone after 5 hours. Can't believe they've re formulated it and not made it public. My old one project's like crazy and lasts all day
I knew you would like it mate 👍 elixir is a beast and it lasts on my skin 24 hours and my clothes 48 hour . It's expensive but a little goes a long way
Thanks man! I really appreciate the great suggestion! It is almost rude how well Elixir performs as it puts everything else I own to shame. I noticed that SWY Intensely held onto paper very well, but even that isn’t quite as steadfast as elixir.
@@mightyreds860 I sprayed it on my notebook three times while testing it and I think I might’ve ruined that notebook as a tester 😅 the page is visibly stained with perfume oil and I could still smell it when I walked in the door when I stopped quick at my house earlier this morning. Potent isn’t a strong enough word 😂
Yup, thats the same reaction i had to it when i first smelled it. it was owe inspiring. The second thing that won me over was the performance. love this stuff. Ofcourse, all designers fragrances will get discontinued eventually. Even Dior got rid of Homme Parfum, well atleast everywhere except Europe. But until that day comes, I will be having this in my rotation 😊
It’s literally a modern masterpiece, I think. It’ll probably stick around for a few years on shelves, and I think it’ll be in people’s collections much longer than that. It’s hard to use sometimes 😅 Pretty out of season right now but I can’t wait to wear it again next winter. Anything you’re liking for summer or are you on the other half of the world and approaching winter??

Yeah, the thing is I blind bought elixir as my first fragrance ever. I sprayed it and instantly had that awe inspiring reaction. Kept going back for a smell. I quickly bought EDT and EDP and I was pretty disappointed lol, so so different When I bought the elixir, I got discounts from using the Honey extension and I also got the mini elixir splash bottles. Got 2 sets lol, have 1 just packaged for the future

just bought this yesterday. Don’t take take this the wrong way, but it has a subtle similarity to the axe Kilo body spray on the dry down stage, but a more enhanced and boujee version of it. I love the performance and it’s very pleasing to those who have smelled it on me.
Damn, sorry to hear that. Maybe you need to tone down how many sprays you’re doing, even go from 2 to 1 and see if that helps. Always a shame to have a scent bother you.

@@MegatronDecepticons I agree that longevity is very important, as it gives the best value for your money, but I also think there’s something to be said for fragrances that don’t last forever 😅 I reckon everyone should have a good four to six hour banger for when they go out for an evening. It depends on what you’re doing, but anything less than four hours seems hardly applicable to anything, does it?

As you said, it also depends on the circumstances, if it is a date, a perfume that lasts 4 to 6 hours is excellent, if I am in a club then I will wear a perfume that lasts longer. There are also perfumes that if you spray more than 4 sprays, then even aliens on a distant planet will be able to smell the perfume LOL 😅
I don’t think so. I’m far from an expert, mind you, but if you’ve been wearing it every day, I’d say you’ve got what I call “nose creep”. If you inundate yourself with a scent for too long, your brain starts to ignore it. Switching fragrances might help. Alternatively, if you’ve been switching up your scents, try wearing Elixir one day and asking someone if they can smell you. I wouldn’t be worried about going up to two sprays either.

@@BlindBuysFragrance What was off putting that by mistake i smelled it on my arm, closer up, very soon after spraying, but this is a fragrance that does it's magic in the air, and close up once it has settled down. It grew up on me very quickly, and i was really enjoying its great performance too, i like to get value for my money :) The compliments just kept coming, men/women, younger-older, all age groups, it has surprised me beyond belief. My latest bottle doesn't seem to perfom as well, so i would be really upset, if Francis Kurkdjian's journey at Dior would involve destroying Elixir. It has gone through a pathetic almost 30 percent prices increase in the last year, which is again not justified. I went through 5 bottles in the last 12 months and i have 2 in storage :)

Hi, I bought my bottle a week ago. Batch code is 2M05 2022/12. Now it's about 15-18C outside. I have a feeling that the perfume projects very poorly, but i applied 3 sprays. What do you think is wrong? Thanks for the answer!
Hey Dimi! I would honestly suggest dialing the number of sprays back and working your way up, as there is a chance that you are simply going anosmic due to the potency. Try spraying a piece of paper once and leaving it out on the counter or in a common area and walk by it without wearing any fragrance (this is one way I test projection). I know that when I sprayed my notebook, it stained it with that scent for over a month, so it’s certainly a potent fragrance! Try dialing it back and let me know how it works out. Sometimes less is more!
I have one with batch code 2J03 in 100ML size. I can confirm smell is different to earlier bottles I smelled in a boutique. Others also said a "possible" reformulation due to banned ingredients. Batch I have is more lavender forward and missing the strong spices in the opening.
Meant to comment on this one I was under the weather there for the last couple of weeks. I figured if Sauvage line had a killer version this would be the one. It was way out of my price range unfortunately. Actually all the hype on the Sauvage line got me back into checking out fragrances for the first time again in like 25yrs. I got the Parfum version last year for $80. I was expecting a super masculine fragrance after all the Johnny Depp hype on it. When I sprayed it I was like, "Yeah it's ok." and not totally impressed really. Either way I wore it a few times and enjoyed it. My daughter noticed it and said I smell like every other guy wearing that stuff. I didn't even tell her I got it and she knew what it was. She said it was overplayed. I was like "What?" Anyways, at the time I didn't know jack about the new styles of "men's fragrances. I didn't even know there was such a thing called "unisex" fragrances. Not that Sauvage is a unisex fragrance, it smells manly enough imo. After that I got Davidoff's Cool Water and liked that more and it was half the price. Thus began my small start into fragrances. Which most I've been happy with but a small few. I learned quickly which ones to stay away from. Even though Sauvage is a huge Macy's seller, I didn't know that at the time. Hadn't even been into a Macy till last Christmas way after getting the Sauvage online. Actually I learned A LOT going into Macys. That most smelled a lot alike. And I learned never to buy fragrances at Macys because it's marked up big time. The Sauvage Parfum bottle I bought online for $80 was $120 at Macys. Then I checked some of the fragrance prices at Macy to the ones online at Walmart and Walmart had most of the same fragrances for half the price almost. My daughter and I after all the samples we tried at Macys got into the car to go home and I said the car smells like a French Whore was in here. I think we both got high together that day for the first time smelling all those fragrances from Macys. LOL.
Jeeze Lon! I was starting to wonder if something had happened to you! Hope you’re feeling better! I’m actually kind of surprised to hear that you’ve got a bottle of Sauvage Parfum, I didn’t really expect that. Although I haven’t sampled it, I’ve got a couple blue fragrances and the Elixir definitely has some of the original DNA in it, I didn’t really think it would be your style. The shower gel fresh thing seems almost a bit, I dunno, younger(?) than the masculine scent profile I associate with what I envision you to wear. Once I get the Trump’s and Bentley Intense open I’ll have a better idea for sure, but still, didn’t really take you for a Sauvage kind of man 😅 Davidoff Cool Water is supposed to be really great too. I’ve heard it’s similar to one of the Creed fragrances, Green Irish Tweed I think, but not totally sure. Having been around longer than I’ve been alive, I’m sure it’s a banger though 😅 It’s nice that you and your daughter can share Fragrance together though! That sounds like a lot of fun, being able to get all stinky and laugh about the absurdity of it all 🤣
@@BlindBuysFragrance yeah the Sauvage was masculine more so than most other Macy like fragrances at least. It's not my favorite but I'll wear it from time to time. My go to mostly has been layering the Success with Cool Water. Or the Terre D'Hermes. I save the Bentley for special occasions. I tired a sample pack of Creed's Green Irish Tweed and it was horrible. The opening scent was great but sadly only lasted about 10mins. And I didn't smell anything on me after an hour. Worst ever fragrance. The Cool Water imo was way better that GIT. The one I got (so glad I got me a bottle) that was a perfect clone of GIT is one by Alexandria called "The Irish Gentleman". It is everything Creed's GIT should be. Has that awesome opening and lasts for hours. That 60ml bottle was a great purchase for $70. But yeah I like Cool water A LOT. It's not so pushy of a fragrance and it's clean & fresh smelling. For the price it can't be beat. 60z bottle for like $50. I need to order me another one soon.
Oh man, it seems like the Creed stuff just isn’t really anything other than hype these days. Pretty wild to hear that GIT didn’t hold up so well, but in comparison, the reports of Cool Water being a standout does hold up. I’m going to have to get a bottle of that too. Bottles on FragranceNet are only $30 for 6.7oz, that seems more than reasonable.
@@BlindBuysFragrance $30 is a steal. I seen on WM online it's like $36 (including shipping) for a 6.7oz. Price went down a bit from last time I noticed so that is good. I could never afford anything from GREED Fragrances (so they should be called imho) or Tom Ford line either. What got me to get samples of the GIT was a Clint Eastwood interview where he said GIT was his signature scent way back in the day and then he switched to Cool Water because he thought it was the same but lasted longer. The interviewer asked him what he wore and then asked him what "Dirty Harry" would wear and he said no doubt Dirty Harry wears Cool Water. LOL. And he wasn't doing any promo in the interview it was a question from the audience. I figured if he said that is what the bad ass Dirty Harry Callahan would be wearing, then that had to be bad ass masculine and a no brainer blind buy for me. And that is how I ended up getting Cool Water in my collection. And I'm glad I got it. For as mild as Cool Water is, it does have a "elegance" masculine odor to it. For sure has a super smooth clean fresh scent with Cedar, Oakmoss, Tobacco, Sandalwood & musk in it. The opening of GIT is fabulous but sadly disappears really quick. The rest of the GIT very quick dry down is pretty much the same scent as Cool Water but the Cool water at least last most of the day unlike GIT. The GIT is just one of the worst super bad performers of fragrances. The price on it (and most Greed Fragrances) are just hype and a stupid buy imho. But that clone I mentioned nailed that GIT opening. That one is a bit stronger than Cool Water but it's more $$$ so I've worn it sparingly.
That’s a tough call. I really like these in no particular order: “Coach for Men” “Bleu de Chanel Parfum” Mugler’s “A*Men Pure Malt” (discontinued) superb wintertime frag. “Dior Homme Sport” I have a sample of the “Elixir Parfum” which is amazing as well.
I do not. Their lack of availability on discounters has really put me off thus far, not going to lie. I know I’m eventually going to need to get my feet wet, but I am hesitant still.

I tend to do one spray under my shirt and its alot weaker then when i bought it back in june did i just happen to purchase a bad batch ?

You're either noseblind or bought a fake. There is NO WAY that fragrance dissipated so quickly.

Not that Sauvage is a unisex fragrance, it smells manly enough imo. After that I got Davidoff's Cool Water and liked that more and it was half the price. Thus began my small start into fragrances. Which most I've been happy with but a small few. I learned quickly which ones to stay away from. Even though Sauvage is a huge Macy's seller, I didn't know that at the time. Hadn't even been into a Macy till last Christmas way after getting the Sauvage online. Actually I learned A LOT going into Macys. That most smelled a lot alike. And I learned never to buy fragrances at Macys because it's marked up big time. The Sauvage Parfum bottle I bought online for $80 was $120 at Macys. Then I checked some of the fragrance prices at Macy to the ones online at Walmart and Walmart had most of the same fragrances for half the price almost.
My daughter and I after all the samples we tried at Macys got into the car to go home and I said the car smells like a French Whore was in here. I think we both got high together that day for the first time smelling all those fragrances from Macys. LOL.

I’m actually kind of surprised to hear that you’ve got a bottle of Sauvage Parfum, I didn’t really expect that. Although I haven’t sampled it, I’ve got a couple blue fragrances and the Elixir definitely has some of the original DNA in it, I didn’t really think it would be your style. The shower gel fresh thing seems almost a bit, I dunno, younger(?) than the masculine scent profile I associate with what I envision you to wear. Once I get the Trump’s and Bentley Intense open I’ll have a better idea for sure, but still, didn’t really take you for a Sauvage kind of man 😅
Davidoff Cool Water is supposed to be really great too. I’ve heard it’s similar to one of the Creed fragrances, Green Irish Tweed I think, but not totally sure. Having been around longer than I’ve been alive, I’m sure it’s a banger though 😅
It’s nice that you and your daughter can share Fragrance together though! That sounds like a lot of fun, being able to get all stinky and laugh about the absurdity of it all 🤣
@@BlindBuysFragrance yeah the Sauvage was masculine more so than most other Macy like fragrances at least. It's not my favorite but I'll wear it from time to time. My go to mostly has been layering the Success with Cool Water. Or the Terre D'Hermes. I save the Bentley for special occasions.
I tired a sample pack of Creed's Green Irish Tweed and it was horrible. The opening scent was great but sadly only lasted about 10mins. And I didn't smell anything on me after an hour. Worst ever fragrance. The Cool Water imo was way better that GIT.
The one I got (so glad I got me a bottle) that was a perfect clone of GIT is one by Alexandria called "The Irish Gentleman". It is everything Creed's GIT should be. Has that awesome opening and lasts for hours. That 60ml bottle was a great purchase for $70.
But yeah I like Cool water A LOT. It's not so pushy of a fragrance and it's clean & fresh smelling. For the price it can't be beat. 60z bottle for like $50. I need to order me another one soon.
Oh man, it seems like the Creed stuff just isn’t really anything other than hype these days. Pretty wild to hear that GIT didn’t hold up so well, but in comparison, the reports of Cool Water being a standout does hold up. I’m going to have to get a bottle of that too. Bottles on FragranceNet are only $30 for 6.7oz, that seems more than reasonable.
@@BlindBuysFragrance $30 is a steal. I seen on WM online it's like $36 (including shipping) for a 6.7oz. Price went down a bit from last time I noticed so that is good.
I could never afford anything from GREED Fragrances (so they should be called imho) or Tom Ford line either. What got me to get samples of the GIT was a Clint Eastwood interview where he said GIT was his signature scent way back in the day and then he switched to Cool Water because he thought it was the same but lasted longer. The interviewer asked him what he wore and then asked him what "Dirty Harry" would wear and he said no doubt Dirty Harry wears Cool Water. LOL. And he wasn't doing any promo in the interview it was a question from the audience. I figured if he said that is what the bad ass Dirty Harry Callahan would be wearing, then that had to be bad ass masculine and a no brainer blind buy for me. And that is how I ended up getting Cool Water in my collection. And I'm glad I got it. For as mild as Cool Water is, it does have a "elegance" masculine odor to it. For sure has a super smooth clean fresh scent with Cedar, Oakmoss, Tobacco, Sandalwood & musk in it.
The opening of GIT is fabulous but sadly disappears really quick. The rest of the GIT very quick dry down is pretty much the same scent as Cool Water but the Cool water at least last most of the day unlike GIT. The GIT is just one of the worst super bad performers of fragrances. The price on it (and most Greed Fragrances) are just hype and a stupid buy imho.
But that clone I mentioned nailed that GIT opening. That one is a bit stronger than Cool Water but it's more $$$ so I've worn it sparingly.

Hey Psycho, thanks for the suggestion! Do you own either of them? If so, which is better? Hawas has been getting lots of hype, but they also changed the juice it seems? And I think someone was talking about Legend Spirit a few months ago too, so that might be a good pick up 🤔
@@BlindBuysFragrance I already own Legend Spirit and Hawas is on its way to me rn. Although there has been reports of reformulation it still seems to have very strong performance for this type of scent but I can't confirm yet
