    So I kept a good schedule before 2020 ended BUT if you follow the social media pages, you know that illness smacked me big time! Now that I am clear, it is full steam ahead for the channel! This video was supposed to drop on January first so I am a little late to the party. These are the gloves I used most in 2020 and also a preview for some gloves I am going to be reviewing pretty soon! Please forgive me for some of the editing errors in this video, I am a little rusty and this video is not quite as detailed as my other reviews. If you have any questions as always comment below and reach out on my social media pages! Thanks for 2k subscribers everyone! It really means a lot!

      Yeah! Absolutely I can do that! I know people voted on angles for my next breakdown but I can for sure make a video on how to break down the body. Key things to remember for now though: Target joints, soft muscle groups, air passageway, and anything to do with the nervous system. Find out what works and why. Example, hitting the neck shuts down that side of the body briefly if you strike it properly. Or if you hit the chest, you're in essence attacking the heart and lungs. Think of it as investing for later.

    Al, i have a tough question man, i want an all round glove for boxing so do i go fortress velcro gloves, phenom sg200 which not sure u have tried or phantom boxing el cucuy lace up?

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 года назад

      That is a very tough question for they are both amazing gloves and part of my main rotation! I would say the knuckle protection is the best out of the 3 because of how thick it is and it does have a puncher's feel to it BUT it's not so flat like the el cucuy's are which those are more of an all around puncher's glove because of that. I would say the EC 2.0s and the fortress are rivaled as far as comfortability goes and the hand compartment is about the same size. The fortress is a little bigger than the 2.0s but they are both very light and responsive gloves. I would also say fortresses feel somewhat like grants and the 2.0s are a great hybrid between pillow and punchers gloves. The outer shell for fortress is leather vs 2.0s are composite microfiber so not as much upkeep. In all honesty, it is a major tie for me I like them equally and the one bias I have is that I helped design the 2.0s....hmmm. If you want a thicker glove with a bit better knuckle protections I would go with the fortress, they are also bigger making it easier to block punches vs the 2.0s are a little thinner but IMO a little more durable. That is a tough one dude Idk lol

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 года назад +1

      In short, if you want a puncher/defensive glove go with fortress vs if you want a puncher/pillow glove go with the 2.0. Fortress has thicker padding but for me the wrist support, comfortability, is about the same but I do think the 2.0s are a bit more durable and won't show signs of aging like leather would on the fortress.

    I really don’t understand this thing about “punchers gloves”.
    Are there some boxers who don’t punch?

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 года назад +4

      Great question! Puncher's gloves mean that you are constantly throwing multiple punches in a row or at least in rapid succession. So a guy classified as a "boxer puncher" usually has a very high output of punches per round. Puncher's are not looking to land one big shot unless it presents itself, they are looking to land A LOT which usually makes the opponent stop and clam up. When this happens, it prompts the ref to stop the bout. So puncher's gloves usually fit the punchers that like to punch a lot in rounds. Good example would be someone like Manny Pacquiao who uses Reyes gloves and throws a ton of puncher per round and usually throws in combinations and not in one shot.

    Dude, for independence and credibility sake you should not have rated your sponsor at all, let alone pick them first, Come on.

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 года назад +4

      It isn't a paid sponsor for me. I make that known each time something or someone sends me or asks for help from me. Phantom Boxing is a great company and I helped design the thing so naturally I am going to use it a lot. I don't think it would "damage" credibility because if you look at any of the reviews of the gloves and who uses them, they haven't really had all but one in my opinion silly complaint. I of course appreciate your comment, but it isn't a sponsor like JRE has with Ziprecruiter or MMA on point has with Caveman Coffee where they get paid for each spot. I make NOTHING from it at all. I literally just helped a company start out with a glove. A sponsor is not always paid. A sponsor is someone you can either support or supports you and that is exactly what it is. I would however lose credibility if I wasn't honest with you or the viewers and THAT sir I have been the entire time on this channel. If they sucked, I wouldn't rate them let alone even show them on the channel. Thank you for your comment, I hope this clarified what Phantom boxing is to the channel. As of right now, Thee Combat Corporation has ZERO paid sponsors. If anything, it solely benefits the viewers because you get a discount. I did the SAME EXACT THING last year with Topboxer which is vastly larger and there was a 10 percent off for people. I didn't make a dime, I literally reached out to topboxer and said "hey my viewers might like it if there was a discount for the holidays." That's my credibility and my independence. I made that happen, nobody else reached out I reached out to them for my subscriber's benefits. I hope I cleared that up with you. Hopefully you learned something from the video.

    • @gustavoandrade9827
      @gustavoandrade9827 3 года назад +2

      I see your point, but the fact that you helped design it certainly leads to a bias that you yourself acknowledge. Anyway, it was just a piece of advice, take it for what it’s worth. Keep up posting content, your videos are enjoyable and informative.
