It's hard to beat some of the Triumph Triples, but I have to agree.

It already sounded good for me but now it's even better.
Active sound disabled my arse. That and we're listening from what is probably a phone's microphone and other factors could have affected it. Open/Closed window for example.
This is with the INTERIOR active sound design disabled, but the rear right exhaust muffler is just a huge speaker which actually makes most of the artificial sound. That is not disabled. Especially in the drive away video someone filmed, they say its off but its still on.

Super fast and super amazing sound for a 1.5 L, 3 Cyl. Also, that engine displaces more Horse power per liter than any other BMW engine.
They must've spent a lot of time thinking of what their car should sound like

Bloody hell, I'm getting really annoyed from reading these comments... 90% of people are just blabbering nonsense about WHAT this car is... it is NOT a pure electric car and it doesn't have a diesel engine... it's a Hybrid car with a 3 cylinder 1,5 litre petrol engine, combined with an electrical engine.

starts roughly at 2 seconds gets to 108km/h at 8 seconds in, so a 5-6 second 0-60 time is not bad at all

There are 3cylinder motorcycles that have deep throaty tones like this, so it's NOT impossible just because you never heard one.

***** I find that hard to believe. doesn't sound like an inline 3 at all. maybe it is legit, but I just can't imagine such a small engine that's turbo charged making that sort of sound, not just in terms of volume, but bass as well. sounds like a mercedes v8

I guess there's going to be depreciation hitting hard on this car along with the more compact i3. Some examples of the i8 had gone over 12k miles on the clock, and probably will cost as much as 60 grand or below recently. Very soon the i8 and i3 in used conditions will likely cost no more than a new Prius or so.

cylindersize is what makes the sound. 0,5l per cylinder. that's the same amount like in a 3l straight six or a 2l 4-pot. the meaniest 3-cylinder ever heard (to me it sounds better than the new M4, sorry BMW, i love you, but the new M4 sounds shittier than a regular Golf)
seems like it was gas only acceleration, he didn't launch it either I mean it took about 7 secs to hit 62mph which is impressive for only 230 hp and 3200lbs

They are electric front wheel drive AND have an engine powering the rear wheels, I was just wondering if the combustion engine was a gas or diesel.
