A splendid little documentary! I was not aware of any potential hybrids.

Wow, they're beautiful! I have green anoles & enjoy watching the male change colors. In seconds he can completely change from dark brown, to amber & cream with hints of olive green & rich gold. Or from deep forest green to near iridescent kelly green with accents of vivid turquoise & royal purple around his eyes. It's incredibly fascinating to watch. The females are not as social as the male. He likes to venture out to sit on my hand & look around or curl up in my palm to sleep. He loves a warm shower under the facet. These Cuban Allison Anoles are stunning. Thank you for sharing.

I love green anoles too! I had them in a huge terrarium and noticed they would never defecate on the vines they commuted on, they always made an effort to turn sideways so as to circumvent doing so. The males eventually got comfortable enough to jump on me and chill, they would leave on their own leisure. In actuality they bully brown anoles, not the other way around. They're inquisitive nature was phenomenal, so much intelligence and personality.

Blue is one of the most rare colors to occur in nature. It is even more rare to occur in living creatures. These lizards are some of the more rare specimens on earth.

Nice video, but the Green Anole is the only Anole Native to Florida. Of course, there is the Cuban Green Anole which is indistinguishable from the native Green Anoles... and as of 2024 there are 8 known Anole species in South Florida.
