Thanks so much for this tutorial, Teela. I'm in awe of your creativity and generosity in sharing swatches, brushes, and knowledge. Such a helpful resource to learn more about Procreate's functions.
Lots of cool, clever ideas and tricks in this video! I think my favorite one is inverting the layers mask on the 2nd glow layer. I was thinking I'd have to remember exactly which glows I'd masked out, et voila! A really sweet trick from Teela made it all SUPER-easy :-) Thanks so much for your generous sharing of knowledge, ideas and resources - as always, another great video from you jam-packed with info.
I used this to illuminate a sign that I had seen many times as a kid, and now a promotion for a chorus I’m part of struggling to make it in these days. A painting of a 1930s movie marquee.
This is so beautiful. However, I’ve run into a problem...my lights all blink on at the same time. I thought this may have something to do with the inversion but I’ve played around with that and it still doesn’t work! Any suggestions as to what I’ve done wrong? Thanks x
love your tutorial! I tried to do the string lights on a christmas tree instead, and when I got to preview, my christmas tree is also "blinking" - is there a way to make the tree still and only make the lights blink?
Why is it when I export the photo as a gif it ends up going back and forth cropping the photo? It looked fine in the preview but when I actually saved it in my photos, the gif was the photo being cropped and uncropped?
Happy Holidays Teela! I created a blinking light canvas in Procreate. I'm trying to get it to Facebook and it's telling me that the video isn't long enough. Any suggestions? I tried duplicating groups. It told me I was at my limit. I'm sad.....
For all groups except the original Glow 1 and Glow 2 groups, try flattening them. This way, you'll save on the overall number of layers in your document (and can add more of the flattened groups as needed to make your video long enough), but you'll still have the originals in case you ever want to update the artwork.
You won't be able to animate in Illustrator, but here's how to create a pattern brush of holiday lights! every-tuesday.com/how-to-create-a-holiday-lights-pattern-brush-in-adobe-illustrator/
@@EveryTuesday Thank you for replying Teela :) , but sorry I meant was how to show the percentage, I know I can slide it up or down but it doesn't show the percentage in my phone. Or is it just in ipad, cause I'm using pocket.
I love this tutorial. I‘m a beginner at procreate and your tutorials help me a lot. Thank you for sharing :)

Me too! I'll definitely be doing more animation tutorials with their new animation assist feature!
I tried it with another drawing and it works! Thank you 💖

I had the same issue. What I ended up doing was toggling the 'Per frame color palette' to 'ON'. Hope that helps!

Great video, but I only have illustrator and don’t have a iPad Pro, is there a other way to do this , thanks 🙏🏼

save 3 different pics in GIF and use any ways for animation it. For example convertio.co/ru/gif-mp4/
TheAksel13 thanks for the info about the Gif
Teela Cunningham thank you 🙏🏼
I didn't know the slider could show the percentage? Please tell me how to do that?
Tap and drag to slide it up or down 😉

Ah yes, that must be it, then. I don't have pocket, but I'd assume to maximize screen space for your artwork, that's something that is ipad only
@@EveryTuesday Ya, makes sense :( well, thanks anyway! Looking forward to your next video, have a great day!
