Just saw Jordy in the water at my home break in California. Was so cool to see one of the rivals guys before their episode airs. Love all the eps!
Best session overall for sure. Not the heaviest, but best all around session: barrels, head on 360 air, and that f’ing layback from another planet!

@@sandmonkey1243 I saw Wade’s. It was good. But he had better surf in general. He didn’t get nearly as technical. He wasn’t as well rounded overall in his heat. It was Wade’s power surfing vs Lawyer’s total package surfing. I’m going with total package. That’s all.
Haven’t watched Jacobs yet ..
@@mikeuptegrove I'm going with best performance, and they had 2 months to choose the best waves.Wade wins in my book but let's see, great concept though.
@@sandmonkey1243 well, not all spots are equal. If my local is pipeline and yours is trestles, two months won’t make them comparable. Wade has a better backyard. But his performance wasn’t better by overall standard. He surfed more powerfully. Jordy surfed more masterfully and checked all boxes with precision. So far no one else has. If it’s a competition of power surfing, then Wade wins, definitely. If it’s a competition of doing everything with consistency and style, Wade doesn’t win. No one has surfed as good as Jordy or done as hard of maneuvers yet, with same degree of ease and consistency. The lay-back Jordy pulled you don’t even see done on tour cause it’s too risky, yet he nails it like nothing. He also stuck a big 360 with an interference. These both demonstrate his mastery and consistency.
