Before we got in the water at Bondi, my parents showed me and my sister where the flags were, and where we weren’t supposed to swim and explained why. You never go into the water on an unfamiliar beach without doing some reconnaissance first. Especially if you have kids in the group.
I don’t think it was anyone’s fault. Jesse was trying to communicate what he thought he saw. Maxi was saying what he was told. Just simple miscommunication. Maxi definitely shouldn’t have blamed himself though. The girls definitely had no right to be mad either; if anyone’s at fault, it’s them for not swimming where they were supposed to

The thing to remember here, these lifeguards, even as elite and amazing as they are, are not water gods nor are they perfect. They get hurt, and they make mistakes. They are human.
I love the way they're all taking responsibility for their mistakes! These are people you can trust, they accept responsibility for their mistakes, care about the people they're protecting and always do their best.
yeah, or at least have the common sense to not walk out into the water until the water level is up to your neck, the beach isn’t a swimming pool where you can simply just walk your way up to the surface again

I'm a former Royal Air Force Serviceman, had the biggest family of brothers and sisters I never had (mum had 5 miscarriages after me) . You guys have got a bond that matches any of the armed forces. The word in USA Marine Corp training is " one day you might be as good as the Royal Marines ".... we might out number you in force, but as a unit we are invincible. Welcome to the 3 new lifeguards! Miscommunication happens and i commend them because though they rattled in worry because of the idea they might lose a patient still they handled everything in a professional manner. Love these guys!! Can't wait the next episode!!😆😆😆
