True, but it was not that bad. Sometimes people would be literally behind you, here people were keeping a nice distance
If you were their you’d find it so hard to not stand and watch. 1 because it’s everyday u see people trying to bring someone back to life 2 conformity
It’s human curiosity, it’s in our nature. They’re showing respect by keeping their distance.

The place where I work it's really not that hard you just open the pool close it when there's lightning close it for the day and sit around
Sounds like you are better at your job than you even realize. You can probably somehow naturally tell who to watch closely and know to listen for thunder. Its a serious job. People can have seizures, heart attacks, slip, dive into shallow water, etc.. You are a hero everyday mate. Thank you for everything you do.
I work in a club pool and the best thing about the job is that I own the pool and everyone has to listen to me and if some members are giving me a hard time I get to suspend then for 3 months

It's pretty normal in my opinion. Other people are allowed to have concerns too. The few times I've had seizures or fainted ill wake up w/ an audience and usually don't think anything of it. Human nature to see what's going on and I respect it. Suppose you could say they're watching for the same reason you're watching on your computer lol, quite hypocritical to be fair.

Karianne Montminy sometimes its more dangerous to do cpr right away when u havent completely confirmed that there is no pulse. if someone is alive, even faintly, cpr can do more harm than good
@@wormguts5950 yes its a normal human instinct, but sometimes they make it harder to give the patient the care necessary- in this case they seemed to not be impeded by the crowd at first, but they obviously had to be moved for the ambulance. However, there have been other episodes where they comment on it being more difficult to give them care due to the crowd around them

Whats wrong with adults allowing or bringing their children to possibly watch someone die. Someone should be keeping the vultures back so paramedics can get into the area quickly. The gentleman that helped him, saved his life

@@christinepierce7560 I'm thinking they feel embarrassed maybe. I'm a heavier 38 year old woman & I'd feel a little rediculous wearing a life jacket like a little kid or something. I'd probably look like I was a bit paranoid wearing it. Buuuut I don't give a s**t I'd wear it anyway.
But I do have severe fibromyalgia as well. So any harder swimming or even just playing around would probably cause me to hurt a lot. Which could affect my swimming ability too. I'll do a lot to avoid extra pain & wearing a life jacket means I wouldn't need to work as hard to stay afloat. Or at least that's what I'd probably tell people.
In reality those waves scare the crap out of me.
If I were taking my nieces & nephews to Bondi there's a good chance I'd super glue a jacket on them & possibly attache a leash to it.
Personally I think they need a stand that rents out life jackets for both kids & adults. Possibly even a rule that kids under 8-10 have to wear a jacket or other approved flotation device.
Also anyone who's been drinking needs one. And a leash too. Preferably tied to the lifeguard tower.

not actually that simple. Bondi actually has some rather rough surf and murky water. you wouldnt be able to to get a clear picture on what it is let alone how big
Murky water, too many fish. You can't always see for sure if it'sa dolphin or a shark. This is a more secure check.
In addition, the waves will cause strong winds above the ocean. We also have to think about how far away the drone can fly. there also saftey hazards. like what if the drone falls and hurt someone because the drone flew too far away or lost connection *shrug

so i know some of my joints are weird but when I saw the lady's thumb I was like wait... and i can put my left thumb in the same position (without pain and with ease)

I know how you feel Jess about the 1 footer that's worst injury in surf when catching slabs for years. When I was 16 trying to surf little reef near beach when there were no waves anywhere. Bodyboarding took off on 1.5footer when all others were only maybe 1. Mucking around tried late bottom turn where reef almost sucked dry and stopped me dead on the spot, then sucked me backwards up and over falls, dragging face as I did bend back overfalls straight onto kneecap which snapped 2cm chunk of limestone reef into it. I couldn't feel it and looked like bone at surface, tried to pop out with scissors and compass at beach for 30 minutes then had to ride home on mountain bike 10km 1legged then got mum to take me to get surgery. Stitches in face, back, shoulder and operation on knee. Atleast we'll know for the future. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK FELLA'S. TOURISTS SHOULD BE CHARGED A FEE IF RESCUED, MAYBE THEN IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT DON'T GO OUT. MAINLY FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SWIM ATLEAST.
