This EQ is such a beast for streamlining workflow and pushing the engineer or producer to make quick and good decisions. This is now my main EQ (replacing Pro Q3, surprisingly, after all this time!), and I would recommend anyone to try this one out!
I can have more than 100 pro q on natural phase and keep adding more and more with no lag or freeze feeling, it doesn't happen with claro. Maybe because it's an early version or because it has to connect between all the instances but that's a no for me. I like it more than pro q 3 but..
The benefits of Claro clearly come with a price. The CPU usage is low, but it stacks, so the more you use the more you eat up in resources. Not on a grand level but still. The benefits outweigh the costs for me, but I do hope you're right that it's because it's a first iteration and they can streamline the CPU usage more. It's definitely subjective, but this has become my go to, even if I've noticed a little CPU hit from using it across sessions now.
If they’d add dynamic eq it could potentionally replace pro-q for me, and even if not I could see myself using this as my go-to unless I’d want to use dynamic bands. I’m trying out the demo since a day and a half so a bit too early to call it but so far I absolutely love it, I’m in serious testing-it-out mode and this hasn’t disappoint me yet, quite the contrary actually!
The Produce view is very good because you use your ears more. When you go look at the Tweak window it is...hmmm I probably wouldn't have eq'd like that! But you trust it because you used your ears in the Produce view. Often I fall into the trap of making eq adjustments with my eyes.
We need a separate version of just the mix section with the 2 EQs and masking feature so at any giving time one can compare two melodies that may be conflicting or drums for that matter
aye bro, love your videos btw, but there is a noticeable buzz on your voice in this video! maybe some RX could dap it up enough, i would want to watch your review but the buzz is rather distracting!
Claro doesn't seem to have a dynamic EQ. That's pretty common nowadays. Smart EQ3 from Sonible also does EQ collaboration in the mix. But it doesn't tell you where the masking happens, before processing. But it has dynamic EQ. To compare the mix features of both would be interesting.

The workflow is fantastic.

@@greedokenobi3855 They also need to have an output control for + or - volume overall.
Nice and to the point review, far better than other channels did for the same plugin.Very interesting!!Congrats!
Thanks!
Totally agree!

I saw their 2022 November sale and came her for a review that convinced me to buy.
Cheers Joe. 🤘🤘

Thanks. Clear and concise. Good job.

Noticed that too. Regular viewer, and have never heard this before on Joe’s voice.
I'll have to look into it. Nothing changed in the vo chain.
You're explanation is very informative and to the point. Keep it up ☺️
Thanks!
Looks interesting. How is CPU and latency, compared to others?
Hi! I would like to know if the sound of this plug in is a very sonnox sound, similar to the sonnox eq. Thank you very much!!

Bought the claro and just realised it does not have Dynamic EQ ... I hope they would implement this in the future
Sonible smart:eq is pretty bad to be honest. The "ai" makes horrendous decisions. Basically useless.
I was using it wrong all this time 😅
This looks like direct “attack” to ProQ and Neutron
