Watched it again. Just wanted to mention that the "Bus" and "FX" show tabs work very simply: You have to put the name "FX" or "BUS" respectively in the desired tracks or groups of effects. Actually very easy and clever.
Wow this looks really innovative!!!! And yes dynasmic EQ would make this a whole package. Even our humble HORNET TOTAL EQ has that :))) Hope they include this. I will be taking this EQ to my short list, looks reallşy promising!!! One thing, how is it on the CPU?
Yeah even frequency in cubase does dunamic eq, only it doesnt have a nice display for that ;-) So pro q3 it is. CPU usage was around 3 to 4% for me. Not much. It is heavier on the GPU for me ( graphics driver)
@@lX-NDR In my opinion yes. Because Claro will give you the ability to see and adjust eq between several tracks from within 1 window. That is pretty powerful. If you plan to use claro as your ordinairy eq like frequency or pro-q3, then no, it wont have a benefit.
no dynamics, no sidechain and you can't edit more than two instances of tracks in the mix mode. Febfilter Q3 Pro is still the best and it seems nothing can't beat it.
Pro-Q3 is the GOAT in my opinion. In the mix window you can pull up 2 instances at the same time but you can see all tracks on your left side and decide which two you will compare, which is extremely useful.
FF ProQ is still my go to... No matter wich eq plugin comes out... I feel like I got everything covered with proQ ...on the flipside, im super curious how v4 will look like
@@DaveChips hey Dave, thanks for watching! ProQ3 is pretty much the one to beat isn’t it. It’s pretty obvious that for the tweak tab Sonnox had a very good look at pro-q3. The produce tab and mix tab is want makes Calto shine. And the excellent autogain function. That could be something for pro-q4. Version 3 can be clipped if you want to.
Masking isn´t a bad thing at all if you know what you are doing. The only Problem with masking i always run into is for Kick and Bass, which is solved very quickly by adding Kick sidechained Trackspacer to the Bass. No need for Claro for me. I was tempted though, but i bet it doesn´t sound as good and isn´t even half as flexible as Kirchhoff EQ is, which is my go to EQ since quite a while. Thanks for the Video anyway ;)
Don't waste CPU while sidechaining the kick with Trackspacer, save it for other masking issues. Imo, a stock DAW compressor does the trick quite well. But if CPU hog isn't bothering you or you are printing midi tracks to audio, I guess it's a non issue. Trackspacer is soooo good, but then I started messing around with Soothe2 and my CPU usage goes to the sky; I love Trackspacer, but Soothe2 is making it spend a lot of time in the plugin bin; unless I'm full on MIDI without audio printing and just want something with low CPU usage.
Heavy, I just got it for 20 bucks -Sonnox discount for previous customers, I wouldn't have payed full retail. If you go with Neutron EQ or SmartEQ 4, the CPU load will be even heavier. Imo, this one shines with its workflow, SmartEQ 4 could be argued to be better, same with Neutron; but this at 20 bucks, was a no brainer. And yeah, this isn't replacing fabfilter/kirschoff anytime soon. It's a great add on for workflow and to have variety, as long as you don't pay full retail price. If it had dynamic EQ, it would be a proper contender against SmartEQ 4, which is cheaper if you pay full retail. Again, I really dig the workflow and less intense CPU load -although still intense. I'm for sure using this on a few productions -along with Pro-Q 3/UAD Puigs/PassiveEQ.
No, I think you misunderstood. The first tab, ''produce'' is all about ears and your gut. I even say that literally in the video. ''There’s a piano roll on top instead of a frequency display, in Sonnox’ point of view this will let you use your ears more, which I can only support''
@@whitenoisestudio hopefully Cubase will fix that or all developers will make better coding. There are many plugins that doesn’t interrupt. And in other daws this isn’t the case.
Yeah. Something like a ''soft load in'' or something. Some plugins will also click and more while doing bypass. But I wonder if that will actually possible for all plugins, some of them need a pre buffer to load in in conjuction with the latency compensation. My guess is that very low latency plugins will load in smoothly while playing.
Lol! Refresh! f5! reload! I pressed ''publish'' just a bit too soon, so only 360p was available for a few minutes, but it's ok now. Big kudos on being a VERY early watcher!

What else is currently on your TOP 5 plugins of 2021?
4 more plugins ;-) will need to wade through nu list to see what really will be my top 5, still a few months to go.
Not exactly 2021 but i would say: Shaperbox 2, Seventh Heaven, Echo Boy, Mixroom, Decapitator 👍
Haha that's an all time favorite list ;-) Decapitator was released when? 1836?

Actually the Kirchhoff EQ can. Even has Sidechain configuration directly over its own interface... ;)
Thanks a lot for your great video, many greetings from Germany!
And thank you for watching! Vielen Dank!
You completely missed the invert eq function, I am massively disappointed. ;)
What's that I hear, an echo from the past?
CPU Claro vs Fabfilter Pro-Q 3 ? I think Pro-Q is hard to beat wrt CPU.
Claro does about 4% for me, and pro q3 is somewhere between 1 and 4 for me depending if i go zero latency or maximum lineair phase

Great review I forgot when I bought this eq had the split band L&R option
To all Ilok ideas i say good buy.
This one works with Ilok cloud as well. Which is a good protection method from their side.

hey is there any alternative eq plugin that has feature like Claro Plugin with mainly MIX features... please reply

Dies loading the plugin into Cubase interrupt the audio stream? Some plugins do, some don't.
