      @@rawblow4512 I'm not sure about the financing but mine was just a low interest financing through the Bobcat dealership.

    I do the same thing I cut stumps as low as possible I use 404 chain on a 20" bar because it seems to hold up a little better sometimes. I have a vice on the tailgate of my truck To sharpen the chainsaw I keep Plenty of Woodland pro files from baileys

    Is it normal to grind the stump in 8 hours. I have a bobcat like yours and I'm thinking about getting a stump grinder do you recommend it

    How much did you charge? if you don't mind me asking

    How much should a stump like that cost to have ground down? How much makes it worth your time and equipment maintenance cost?

    • @edwardrook8146
      @edwardrook8146 3 года назад +3

      This stump was around $800 or so. There are some guys who charge less. However, to get to that point you have to have a much more expensive grinder, and you have to have achieved the volume of work with it to completely cover its value. Stump grinding is an accessory to my tree work, not a real money maker. It keeps customers and gains others who want the combined services.
      What it really comes down to is what's the price of that service in your area. It should make sense for them to have you do it instead of doing it themselves. The price of stump grinding varies widely even by small areas less than 5 miles. Also know that you're competing against some people who charge very low prices. I don't compete based on price so I don't get as much stump grinding.
