This movie of Sonic Advance is unique as a speedrun in one aspect: Sonic moves so fast that the "camera" of the game cannot even follow him. Therefore, he is rarely seen in the movie.
On the rare occasions we get to watch Sonic, we get to enjoy seeing him moving through walls, charging up for another dash, or making short work of bosses.
Besides the super fast speed itself, the speed also provides Sonic an ability (glitch) to pass through platforms and walls under certain conditions.
This TAS improves the previous publication ( tasvideos.org/3414M ) by 200 milliseconds of in-game time. Improvements coming from Secret Base 1, Casino Paradise 1, and Ice Mountain 1.
This publication also includes camhack encodes so viewers can view the off screen action of sonic's insane speeds, gotta go fast.

man i love these types of TASes to death, but at the same time, its really hard to find them as entertaining as they should be since i almost never know what the fucks going on. like how in gods name can you even zip around like this in Advance? lmfao i have no clue, so even though this run looks sick already, im just kinda... watching. not really consuming :/ i wish commentated TAS runs were a thing on this channel

i think i have seen a commented tas on this channel, i dont remember an exact video that has one but most TASers just give you the gameplay without the commentary

Good news, The runner has a commentated run but i forgot where i found it.
Bad news, its outdated i think. However its mostly the same here i think but better optimized.
But it seems some runs are getting some CC commentary soon.

@@Zonefire15 not. really. TASes are just speedruns done with tools. there are plenty of speedruns of many games done using exploits and manipulation without tools. TASes aren’t made purely for the sake of bewilderment or cheap amusement, they push games to their limits and do things people are incapable of doing in regular gameplay. in fact, throughout many histories of speedrunning communities, many new strategies and mechanics that could be applied to regular gameplay were only discovered *because* of TASers. there are many TASes out there with commentary, not everything needs to be a mystery. sometimes things are more enjoyable with context.
