Thank you for the review. I will have a question. While I are singing this charger with a usb-c cable connected, I also want to put your phone on it and charge it. Is this possible?
You mean pass through charging, correct? I believe this supports pass through charging, but I think this model has been updated, so you should probably check with ZAGG/mophie to be sure…
Is it safe to use it as a charging station, while the battery is being charged? For example, I am charging the snap+ powerstation stand at the moment, and my iphone is also low on battery, so therefore, I put my iphone on the magnet to wirelessly charge it while the snap+ powerstation is also plugged on the wall and is charging? Can it work like that and is it safe to do so? Thanks!
A couple years ago I had a Mophie juice pack air charging case for my iPhone 8 it also fits the iPhone 7 but they stopped making them ( I read something about new ownership of the company?) and considering they could make a fortune because the iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone SE three 2022 all fit the same size cases I just don’t get why Mophie isn’t making them anymore. Smaller phones like ours have a small battery and we desperately need a decent charging case
Hi @RJtoon1! So nice to hear from you! So, mophie was bought by Zagg awhile back...perhaps that had something to do with it. Zagg actually owns a bunch of companies: mophie, Gear4, Braven, and some other company that makes car battery charging accessories. So, you have an iPhone 8? That supports qi wireless charging, I think. So, if it does, it should theoretically be possible to stick on a Snap Adapter, like the one that I showed in this video (Zagg sells them separately for $19.99) and then, using the magnetic hold they provide, stick on a small magnetic power bank. The Benks MagClap On-Go power banks might work. I haven't tried this, but it seems like it might work. Just a thought...
@@TheTechReviewer Well thankfully for now six months ago I got a new battery installed in my iPhone 8. Still rocking at 100%. I charge from 50% up I don’t usually let it get down to 30 or 20 if I can help it but my friend got a new battery in his iPhone 8 a few months after I did and he’s already down to 98% battery health ha ha he let it go right down to 10% every single time and that just creates too much heat when charging over a longer time period
May I ask if a sufficiently powerful wall plug would charge both the mophie battery and the phone battery at the some time, or does it do one then the other?
Hi Farnsborough! So, the Snap+ PowerStation Stand supports pass though charging, so both charge together, although it may prioritize the charging of the phone over the charging of the battery. Hope this helps!
could someone help me please I bought an external battery and it's called Mophie Powerstation 10k charging base with Magsafe the brand is Mophie I bought it from Apple and I don't know how to use it how do you see it battery of the external battery please I bought it today and I wanted to know if it charges quickly or not?
No experience with that particular product, but it sounds like this one: www.macrumors.com/review/mophie-magsafe-power-bank-gan-travel-kit/. It should do both MagSafe charging as well as wired charging…
@@TheTechReviewer oh, yeah! I recommend you to use an auto tracking phone holder, which is very convenient when you are recording video! It automatically follows you around, even when you're moving!
Hi @TheMonemone2. It does get warm, but not quite as warm as the Anker or Benks power banks that I have. Every single magnetic power bank that I have gets warm, unfortunately.
You should probably check with Zagg on that to be sure…all they say is to use a 10 watt wall adapter at a minimum. Typically, USB is smart enough to route the correct amount of power to the device bring charger, but again…I recommend checking with Zagg to be sure…
How odd! Are you sure you are attaching it the right way up? It won’t work both ways. And you might need to wiggle it slightly to find the magnetic spot…just like you do with your Apple Wallet. And it won’t work with the wallet attached, for sure. But it certainly should work with either a MagSafe Apple case or naked iPhone
The top of the Mophie powerstation stand should attach just below the camera, and the bottom of it will extend about an inch below the bottom of your phone. Is that how you have it oriented?
Very good content and review as always. Just wondering will this heat up when charging like the Anker one. I’m thinking of getting the Apple charger pack is this a device that will keep you topped up during the day , some people won’t recommend it but it looks nice and compact for the I phone thanks as always 👏😎🇮🇪
Hi Mary! It does heat up some, but I think the Anker magnetic power banks that I have get a bit hotter. Not sure how it compares heat wise with the Apple MagSafe battery, because I don't have that device. From reading online, it does appear that Apple's MagSafe battery gets somewhat warm while in operation, though. According to Apple, you can get this kind of charging from its MagSafe battery: Up to 70% additional charge with iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 13 mini and MagSafe Battery Pack* Up to 60% additional charge with iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 and MagSafe Battery Pack* Up to 60% additional charge with iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro and MagSafe Battery Pack* Up to 40% additional charge with iPhone 12 Pro Max or iPhone 13 Pro Max and MagSafe Battery Pack* Good luck with your decision, and thanks for watching!

Hi Michel! I’m not sure. I think that is going to depend greatly on the phone model and phone case used, if any…

Yes, it is designed to do that. It’s called pass through charging 😊
