- Peak Models SBach 342 25% Size RC Plane.
Engine: DLE 30cc 2stroke Gas with JTEC Wrap Around Pitts Muffler.
My Maiden flight of this gorgeous plane. Still need to smooth out the controls a bit. I noticed a bit a "Looseness" in the elevator, but thats due to servo adjustments and not the plane itself.
For a Maiden flight, it was great! Looking forward to dialing it in even more and really seeing what I can do with this one!

Nice plane, and nice flying. I have been thinking a 30cc will be my first non-electric plane. I have been looking at the MSX-R from red wing rc. Thanks for sharing and for making me want one even more lol.

Sorry to jump in on your question ....
For your first 3D plane I would recommend a 3DHS Epp Extra 330 ... its EPP Foam and flies fantastic !

@UtRadioGuy : Hey Rick! Glad you stopped by! Thanks for commenting and compliment. I love the SBach 342! In any scheme! They handle like no other plane does. As for a good 3D to learn on, definitely start with a Foam plane and the SIM. There are so many to choose from. I learned on a Malibu and am currently practicing new moves with the Hyperion Sniper II.
I finally started assembling my 72” 30cc Sbach plane. Upon taking the parts out of the box, I notice the wing tube is missing. The only place I found to purchase the wing tube, it cost $38 dollars and shipping is $15. My question is, do you know who manufactured your plane? Appreciate any help in locating a wing tube less than $50 dollars.

@poerik : Thanks buddy! I like to push it a little on the 1st flight once I know it feels good. That way I can start my Transmitter adjustments to dial out the bad tendencies in the plane. Thanks again!

Ringing it out on first flight!!! Must have broke in the engine at least on the ground? If not id have to say my next 30cc is a DLE.Big balls buddy!!! Lol.

@rcdudes123 : YOU and ME Both man!!! I tell you what though, I kinda want the Sbach 342 in the Orange Scheme now! LOL. Same color as my old Sbach 300. Nothing handles and tumbles like the Sbach!

I forgot to mention I picked up an Eflite DeNight. They had them on sale for father's day. I will be using an 46 Eflite electric motor. Can't wait to fly it but I have to find the time to build it.
Think you need a storage building with all your planes. Nice plane.

@TinkerManRC : Hey Tim! Thanks for commenting and watching buddy! I love the sound. I put the JTec Wrap around Pitts Muffler on it. 2 reasons: 1. so I didnt have to cut the cowl all up, and 2, I love the sound the pitts muffler make. Thanks again buddy! ~~Robert.

@randyneighbour : Thank you my friend! Once I take off, if it feels straight (And I can pretty much tell right away), I go ahead and continually get more aggressive. It takes about 10 flights to get all the controls dialed in, so I like to start right away with the 1st one, to see what I need to adjust first. Find any bad habits in the plane early on. i mean i got the redwing 30cc sback and still yet to fly it but nice scale look and removable horizontal stab which is great for traveling. still yet to fly it.

@MyGeekShowdotcom : If you'll notice though, when I first took off, I flew straight for a couple seconds... It felt tight and straight, so then I did my Wind-Up Roll. Half roll left, then 1 1/2 roll Right. I think it looks cool on take off, and it also helps me feel the aileron input for later adjustments. Thanks for cool comment!!! ~~Robert.

that plane is a badass lol I was thinkin of puttin a dle30 on my goldberg 67 inch yak but now i definitely want one hee hee gonna have me a badass too lol sometime this summer heh heh

hey i've been looking into getting another 30cc gasser. would you reccommend this one? i've been comparing the Pilot-RC Sbach and the Peak Models Sbach but i like the price better on the Peak Models. I love my 30 and i cant go any bigger. so, any advice helps!
Do they make a small electric version. I saw one on Hobbyking but I don't know how well the quality is.

nice airplane,did you recommend it a 30cc or a 50cc,what about qaulity.
my one was about 1000 thats about the cheapest you can build this plane and still be good i mean you can get shitty motors and servos but that will back fire.
has sbach 342 36% with DLE111, hitech servors.... spectrum 9101.. dx8 .... wa thinking of selling it ...still in the build stage ... imay be leavingthe country formy new job ....

Hey, what does yours weigh in at? Mine is 12 lb and wondered what I might be able to do to shave some weight.

i found a bigger one i found a 27% thats as close i can get there dont seem to be any guys seling the 30% in the uk
mate i want the sbach 50cc version which i can have a more powerful engine
the DA50cc is expensive at £540 for that engine still for the extra £10 on it i can buy a DA60cc which costs £550 so whats worth buying a 50cc or 60cc the 55cc is poupler choice because it has plenty off power while the 60cc has over kill on power
