I love how you do so much preparing for things. This video makes me think of a quote I saw not too long ago and wrote in my planner where I do my meal prep. It is "Prepare ahead so I can be ready to win". I love that quote. When I prep ahead I feel like I am winning at life sometimes. LOL
Mimmi,I have been wondering why your kids don't cook.I had the messy learning time between seven and eight and cook dinner for family since.So does my brother,athlete with competitions.Our mom needs to cook maybe once a week...You can totally make time for yourself,by giving your kids more responsibility.

Time is SO very important. Something I always try to find more of. Love your suggestions, never thought of doing sandwiches ahead and freeze. We have a deep freezer with plunty of room. Could do them for my husband to grab and go. Nice ideas!

Walmart has large bags of already chopped Pictsweet Seasoning mix in the frozen veggie section perfect for most recipes. We buy the biggest bags and divide into sandwich bags to freeze. It's a blend of mostly chopped onions plus celery, bell peppers, and parsley. A huge time saver. Usually one sandwich baggie per recipe batch

My kiddos are homeschooled but I still like to premake/freeze sandwiches so its easier for lunch time. In the morning my kids just grab what they want out of the freezer for lunch and put it in the fridge. Then they grab and go for lunch time. Lunch time tends to be a bit crazy here so anything to make it easier is a good thing.
Question: Are the frozen sandwiches taken directly from the freezer before school? Therefore, no need for a cold pak in the lunchbox? Thanks for the great tips!

I'm with you on the triangle sandwich! My mom used to cut my sandwiches into triangles and then put the top corner and the bottom corner together and make a butterfly. I thought it was the BEST this ever!!! She would also cut the sandwich into strips and call them lady fingers!

@ Tiffany P- my grandma did the same with "butterfly sandwiches" however where the two corners met she'd put 1/2 a marschino cherry for the body. One of my favorite memories of her.

How do the sandwiches taste after they have been thawed out? Do you always thaw your freezer meals out before you put them into the crockpot?
I really want to do the sandwich thing for my oldest son in grade 7. You know how they can be with responsibilities. But dang I need more freezer space. I totally agree that time put into things can save you time in the long run.

I freeze chicken subs. Made with Costco rotisserie chicken. The best sub rolls are at Walmart sold in bakery isle. Chicken, cheese, and mayo wrap in plastic and foil. To thaw: remove foil and Thaw in fridge the night before.

Do you recommend using freezer bags for the sandwhiches? It seems you're just using normal sandwhich bags. I'm too afraid to use just normal ones, but I was thinking of using normal sandwhcih bags and then putting a bit of them in a gallon freezer bag to hold all of them? Help!

We made Lazy Man's Lasagne for dinner, husband didn't even realise there was no meat in it until I said something, that was a HUGE WIN!! This one is going in the binder😀😀
Love your videos. the only thing I would recommend is for you to scoop out a little bit of mayonnaise into another little tiny container just enough for the sandwiches because I'm noticing you're spreading and on to the deli meat and then sticking it back into your big jar.
hello Ms Kimmie I did frozen sandwich when I went to Fl. for thanksgiving and I just wanted to thank you for your back to school video, the sandwiches I made was pb and j, and grill cheese, but I did mine a little different, 1st. I frozen the bread, I made toast out of the bread, I made the pb and j sandwiches and frozen them, and did the same with the grill cheese also but I put 2 slices of cheese while it was still hot then I microwave it for 5 sec. then freeze them sandwiches
My Tuesday we had a snow day (I live in CT) we had a little ice storm. Today is Thursday and they have another snow day. We are expecting a foot and a half of snow today.
