My mother-in-law and her three brothers grew up a few doors away from the Kennedy Compound in Hyannisport. They were not wealthy. Her three brothers spent many summers playing with the Kennedy boys- most of the time Bobby and Teddy, sometimes Jack, who was a few years older than they. The stories told by her brothers and her mother were mostly of how often cheap the Kennedy family was. One story told by my husband’s grandmother was: Bobby showed up at the kitchen door one early June morning saying, “I lent Sam a nickel last summer, I want it back.” As his grandmother noted, “Considering all the money they have, and all he can think of is he wants his nickel back?”
The Kennedys have an undeserved reputation for caring for the people; in private they seemed to my in-laws cheap, reckless, and arrogant.

Another horrific detail not commonly repeated, the ER physician who was attempting to surmise the extent of the damage was scouring his body/clothing for entrance exit wounds barking orders to the surgical team, when Jackie forced her way into the room. He saw her but keep working. She continued to get closer and closer, as no one stopped her persistence as she got within reach of the doctor, she extended her hand to him. When he saw the contents, he realized there was no longer a need to resuscitate.
We have all seen the footage of her climbing on the back of the limo. She never let go of what she reached for. In her grip, that entire time she held in her palm a large section of brain and skull. After I learned that I couldn't "UNSEE" it. Can't imagine how she was ever able to TURN THAT OFF. I am sure it played on loop, with all the rest.

I agree. This never happened, not only in my opinion but also in the expert opinions of others, and the few points she made are a twisted revisionist history of what actually happened. Jack loved Jackie and, like many in those days, had mistresses, but he would never leave her. This is just more radical feminist hate here. Also, it was a lie that the Doctors couldn't keep it together at Parkland; again, in my opinion, it is just another attempt to make a dollar on a book
