Glad you guys like these! A few things for clarification: you can’t have 2 Spearheads in play due to the rule that you can’t have more than one copy of the same active event in play (so no 5 strength Nymira), all the commons and champs in The Forged are structures but they are also units so chain lightning would damage them, and I think it’s actually easier to play Storm Goblins than Shimmersea Fae. Seems like according to the online community, Fae are towards the bottom of the power rankings and Storm Goblins might be towards the top. But for casual gamers, Fae are probably easier to use albeit ineffectively.
It’s a phenomenal game that I suggest not to pass on. Also, if you wanted to buy everything right now, you could get 30% off everything and free shipping from PHG… depending on where you live.
@@ghobot21 You can just get the ones that interest you and have plenty of variety... even the base game has plenty of factions and lots of different match-ups.
Damn, this Circuit mechanic on the Storm Goblins is so cool, I might have to start getting a few of these expansions. So far, I'm still in love with the base game.
I recommend you Ben10SW either on RUclips, or you can check out his Twitch, where he often streams and you can join in and ask him any questions. He's super nice and always answers the questions and helps others. He helped me a lot too. So I can recommend him 100% in deciding which faction you wanna buy and how to play them. In my opinion tho: I really like the birds (Skyspear Avians), but all the others are awesome too. It's really just up to you which playstyle you enjoy.
Whatever you think would be the most fun for you I guess. There’s none that are terrible, and “which one is more fun” is pretty subjective. Just choose some that appeal to you.
There is the Tundra Orcs v. Phoenix Elves in a box together. That’s the most economical addition to get after the master set. That’s all I’ve ever bought and haven’t really been compelled to buy more after that.
I think there are some that are better choices than others, with some reasons being how different are they from the corebox options and if they bring card updates for the coreset. I'll add the Skyspear avians to your four as they are mentioned often among favorites, look different, and are fun. The Sw zone webpage has a "Fun" ranking with a bunch of comments to read. Cloaks are also mentioned often. High Elves bring the update cards for Polar Dwarves and Vanguards.
We really need the Top 10 Factions Video 🎉
I'd watch that!

For anybody keeping count . . . these are the 23rd and 24th factions of Summoner Wars 2nd ed.
Seriously?! thought of going in Sw2nd and start collecting all the factions. Looks like gonna give a pass 😶

@ghobot21 For 3 bucks you can buy a month of online access to all 24 factions and see which ones you like best.
@@ghobot21 The expansions aren't super cheap either.

Thanks for keeping up with these!
Kinda feel there's an inevitability if you watch dice tower you will eventually buy Summoner Wars
It's a great game

Storm Goblins are also one of my favourite factions. Balancing them was challenging - but very satisfying!
Lightning hands!!
Im really waiting for the two incoming factions they already anounced, The Filth and The Chosen Grove
any recommendations on the first 4 expansion sets to get after the master set? I'm having a hard time deciding.

I wish they would develop a solo/co-op for Summoner Wars like they did with Ashes.
boom! last!
boom! first!
