    For the tests that require you to shake the cuvette to mix up the reagent (like phosphate), does this checker have a magnetic stirrer built in to do the mixing for you? If not, how big is the mixing vial? Will the vial fit in the AutoAqua Smart Stirrer?

    Danm, pretty pricey though. I have wondered whether you could combine a basic colorimiter with the cheap Salifert tests to get a more accurate result compared to trying to judge colours with the eyes. I know you'd need to prepare standard solutions etc. but theoretically only once. I assumed the other Hanna checkers are basically doing this but are tuned to only the relevant wavelength so they an make you buy 3 or 4 different ones.

    • @KnarBurger
      @KnarBurger 2 года назад +1

      It’s still cheaper than buying all of them individually I believe but not sure by how much. It’s getting up towards trident price range though and for anyone with apex I feel like that extra couple hundred for full automation will win out 9/10 times. A lot of people who would spend the money on Hanna level testers have already bought the single ones and probably won’t buy this for a while so it’s gonna be interesting to see if this thing actually sells well.

    • @reefinainteasy730

    • @KnarBurger
      @KnarBurger 2 года назад +1

      @@reefinainteasy730 in that case what would be the point? I just assumed it would be around the same price or slightly cheaper. You still need refills for all the tests and it can’t test everything at once or from one sample. If you could plumb it somehow into your system like trident to automate it I could see the appeal for sure.

    • @reefinainteasy730
      @reefinainteasy730 2 года назад +1

      @@KnarBurger I absolutely agree with you. The only benefit is that it's all in one convenient case and don't have to have multiple testers. But like you said, every test still needs reagents and has to be ran separately.

    It’s a $100 more than buying all six Hanna checkers individually and does anyone check nitrite after start up? I always used Red Sea test kits and finally switched to the Hanna checkers and found that they are spot on with each other. I bought the IDip and it has a learning curve but it is right there with the Hanna checkers and does have an app. So looks like I need to get 1 of these and compare all 4.

    It looks really nice and I would be willing to buy one but sadly I was very disappointed with my purchase of the Hanna alkalinity monitor. This monitor worked well for about a week and then started giving me error codes even though I made sure of all procedures to avoid errors. First, that tank in the background is ugly and there's something stunting SPS growth. Next, pH problems require a real time monitor to handle properly and I seriously doubt that tank is 8.4 given the stubby SPS growth.

    To little to late Hanna, pretty much anyone who would have purchased this already owns the single parameter checkers for what this tests for, I would have bought this if it could test magnesium but they couldn’t even do that, why make a “all in one checker” that’s not really all in one and that dosent test for anything special, and I’m still having issues getting the HR Nitrate reagents, my guess is that getting reagents for this is not going to be fun or easy either considering you can’t use the reagents from the other ones, come out with something that automatically test EVERY parameter “that includes magnesium” and that I would buy

    I love that they included these into one. I'm at the point where investing in a colorimeter would be advisable. Rather than buying 4 or 5 of the separate ones, I can just save up and get 1.
    Some initial questions though:
    1. Are these the same reagents from the standalone kits being used in this product, or are these a separate set of reagents?
    2. Are these the same testing protocols? for example, I've seen video's of the low range NO2 test and people don't like it. That's not a deterrent for me, it's just curiosity about if they simplified any protocols. Or if it's all the same number of steps and reagents, just rolled into one device?
