    Seems like no company out there is getting salinity right. The bad ph probe out of the box is a shame. If they could get salinity right than it would be worth it. Great honest review. Congrats on 23k. I like the way your going about the growth of your channel. Very professional & making good helpful content consistently. Thank you.

      @@ParkersReef Look at that Sam, another reefer who is a Kidd! Interesting product, price to me seems like it should be 150-200 max. Sad that it did not work out of the box. For me, salinity is something I tend to check less often, and seems to be something that is a lot less fickle or variable. A unit like this, that does pH and Alk, though...now that would be worth looking at.
    Nice review though, and great to see your tank looking mint as usual! 👌

    Feels like they miss the mark quite a bit again. Firstly not adding a wifi module (like 1€ for a consumer so can only imagine what they would pay) and do a little bit of investment into an app. Even if this works fine it`s placement is most likely gonna be on the control panel area, how often do people actually go over there and check? I doubt many will have it outside, doesn`t really go with many aesthetics. Feels like the Hanna aquarium department are lagging behind on quite a few things.

  • @GETBNT1
    @GETBNT1 Год назад +1

    Just for future reference always rinse probes in DI water before putting into calibration fluid and also before changing to next solution, I’d say the conductivity probe also measures temperature hence why they want you to use both probes anything reading PH should also be measuring temp

    Not sure how you can recommend this item or you just got a dud from the manufacture. I would definitely return this item for my money back. No product require you to replace your own power supply to make it work. That is actually a safety issue. Companies would not want you to fiddle around with power potentially harm yourself, the tank or even burn your house down. I was actually intrigued with this product until you made this review. not sure if this is just the aussie version issue (seems like your power supply doesnt have 3 prongs) or its all the same issue with any power supply regardless of region. Good job Parker!

    • @ParkersReef
      @ParkersReef  Год назад

      I always seem to have bad luck. The power supply appears to only be an Aussie issue and I honestly had to just get unlucky with the probe. If neither of those were there, I’d say this is a decent product with a certain use case

      @marcuswong1797 Год назад

      @@holbitron6440 is this a salt water tank or freshwater? If saltwater, I wouldn't bother with any of those except perhaps nitrate and temperature. PH will sort itself out, ammonia and nitrite you shouldn't see once the tank is cycled. Temperature you can do fairly easily (check out a thing called an inkbird for a cheap way to measure this remotely)
