We were at the concert in Salem too - such a great show! It was so fun to see a sound system lose the battle with Tim’s voice! 🤣 Loved hearing Bastien & Jerome sing for the first time; they’re both amazing!
Thanks for the share! --- On another note, the "familiar sound" is what we've heard and gotten used to from growth of HF... arranged with Austin's presence. Giving time for arrangements with Bastien's presence ... and it has to be "honed"!!! Nearly everything "familiar" was arranged/tuned with Austin in mind ... Fairness with "time required" on arrangements/sound; not to happen overnight! Be Safe
The decision to make the change "overnight" was the band's, it didn't just happen. The original plan was for Austin to tour with them until the fall, which would have given plenty of time to work on alternative arrangements. Austin is a talented and experienced arranger and would have helped. How often is it the case that in pursuing a vendetta against someone, you end up being the one that suffers.
@@patriciamcl54since NONE of us know the full truth of what happened- as it should be - we should not stand in judgement of any of the parties involved. Life happens, sometimes it’s messy, but good things come out of tough spots anyway. I am sure Austin will thrive, as will the new era of Home Free. Bastien has an amazing voice and a powerful stage presence, HF is growing stronger, and Austin has begun his new beginning as well. Let’s just embrace them all, because the past couple of years seem to have been hard for them all.
They were in Medford, Salem, Seattle and Spokane all the 3rd week of October. You can check their tour dates on their webpage, sign up for their newsletter, and also sign up to bandsintown. All/ each of those will keep you aware of tour dates. Also, the lowest rung to support them on Patreon is $6 month and they announce what they are doing there. I had my tickets for 6 months in advance.
They should have replaced Austin with Jerome. He sounds like a powerhouse that could actually come close to Austin's greatness instead of Adam, who just blends in and gets lost in the sound half the time.
Blending in is what makes an Acapella group great. Bastien can stand out as needed. I agree Jerome is a powerhouse, but I don’t think his voice would blend as well when needed. Love Jeromes singing! But Adam BB is the perfect choice.
@@PurpleRoseMe Strongly disagree. In this case I mean Bastien gets lost in the blend. I can hardly hear him where all the other guys are easy to find in the blend. Jerome sounds better with them than Bastien.
Yes! I miss Austin. The sound with Bastien just doesn't do it for me. I keep trying to give them a chance, but I just go back to the music with Austin in it.
