Agreed! The hair under your chin wants to grow so let it grow. After a week, that regrowth doesn’t look so good when you continuously cut into the natural beard line. The regrowth gets itchy and a lot of men feel the solution to the itch is to keep it edged up and shaved! Let the beard grow in fully and you’ll find that you don’t really have to shave that often, less itch and irritation with virtually no hair bumps. Every man has the right to style his facial hair the way he wants, but If you want that full beard look you gotta let the whole thing grow.

Id get like a month in and give up because it looked like shit. My biddy explained to me that a beard fills out in 3 phases and told me to try to go 3 months, no matter how crappy i thought it looked. Turns out at 3 months, it filled in halfway decent and it gave me motivation to go another 3 months..and another 3 months. It's now been 4 years since I've shaved my beard completely off..
Some barbers also make lines where your side burns are around the jawline and they take hair off the jawline to makes straight sharp line down but can take off slightly to much at time another area you want to keep hair.
Took me until about 25 to start seeing some ok beard growth. I tried minoxidil, but ultimately microneedling 1-2x per week ended up being the most effective. If you try minoxidil put a very small amount once daily.
What if you dont have a double chin. I stay in the gym regularly and have a pretty good healthy diet and always hoped it would help me avoid a double chin. So far so good. Does it matter as much if you have any loose or flappy skin?

The golden rule: 2-3 fingers above your adams apple is where you cut. Yes it depends on the width of your fingers and where your adams apple is. But definitely a good way to stay consistent.
