Any of you has ever thought that maybe the "Inverted world" is made by a visual perspective? Let's recall what happens in the anime usually: Shinji activates Sakanade and his opponent visibility is inverted. How do we see this though? The victim is in fact able to move wherever he/she wants, it's just that the position of the things seen is inverted! To make it more easy to understand, when Aizen attacks Shinji in the anime, we see Shinji disappear and appear just behind Aizen, just like in the game! In conclusion, Sakanade doesn't invert movement, it invert sight, and I think the devs adapted this concept very well in the game.
In heat the souls his combat was similar dashing and slashing but he would attack upside down and stuff and they lowkey coulve done something similar to how storm itachi had that tsukyomi dome that slows momentum when in range of him and just used something similar to that as an idea
Hopefully he has it as a reawakening. It does show up in the trailer at the end with him doing the spinning animation that was shown in yesterday's trailer. Plus they have the word visored inverted so they know that's his thing. I'm just hoping its in and not just as an ultimate or soul break move
I don't know why people are mad, Shinji has the strongest signature move in the game so far, he will literally force any character to play his game rhythm and those who don't respect it will be punished until they understand this. If Shinji had been able to use the inverted world as a skill, people would complain the same way, saying that the character is too broken and is ruining the game's online game. Anyway, people complain about everything.
@makaisaiyan still cool but we got Tosen, Aizen and Kenpachi for that. Kinda makes me fear what they'll do to Shunsui since that's his whole character style
His Shikai reverses senses making it impossible to defend against that's why his Sakanade move is unblockable. Actually reversing controls would be too crazy.
@Honest_Mids_Masher aizen tried to move and it inverted his movements or are we forgetting the actual effect of his zanpakuptou? Also would that be the same if imprinted in a game format? Exactly don't put the effects without the reason why. Also why everybody acting like his parry is the only parry in the game, half of the roster can parry
i'm not gone lie it feels like hiyori got the short end of the stick she doesn't even appear in his intro's or outro's which really sucks because she's one of my favorite characters in bleach probably my third or fourth favorite. i hope she could get in with dlc but i doubt it and i don't think she does anything in thousand year blood war (i haven't caught up yet i only watched a few of the first season episodes) so she would probably not be playable in a sequel either so this is pretty sad to me my hope is if this game gets a sequel maybe they give this shinji's moveset to her and give him a new one for thousand year blood war arc but still unlikely. now enough about me being sad for hiyori shinji is cool i love him a lot so i'll probably play him a lot especially because it's the only way to see hiyori in some form outside the story mode.
@@sagefromthe6551 she's like the second most important vizard before 1000 yeaar blood war arc she was the one training ichigo with his holo form. plus your telling me izuru is more important that hiyori?there at best on the same level of importance and honestly i would say she more important just for the training with ichigo.
In TYBW we saw Shinji's shikai from the perspective of someone under it's influence, Bambietta, to her it was as though Shinji was impossible to hit. That's the interpretation Rebirth of Souls is trying to replicate rather than simply inverting the opponents controls which would require less skill and no doubt be more frustrating for opponents.
True but there is a such thing as a mid-battle conditions. There are strong mechanics that you have to earn like Soi-fon's death in 2 stings, otherwise she would kill you at the start of her combo. Shinji can still have inverted controls but at a cost or bigger requirement.
Nah the voice off the jump tells me all I need to know for the breakdown 😂. Unless you’re just tired Asf. It sucks that Hiyori isn’t her own character but unfortunately most of the visored don’t have that much content to make a full moveset. I’m surprised that they don’t use Sakande’s ability. Maybe they thought it would be way to disorienting? Idk I feel like they could’ve added a little bit of it.
Kensei, Rose, and Love have enough for a full moveset. But yeah, Im extremely disappointed that you can't reverse the opponent's controls. Possibly the first L in this game
This is the only character so far im a bit disappointed in. I mean still looks cool also i get why they went with something other then inverting controls thats not why. Disappointed im disappointed because i was hoping hiyori and a few other vizords would be playable mostly hiyori love and the qhite haired guy with the knife shikai.
Reverse controls would be OP, making shinji the only character you'd see online. Trust tamsoft, they're really cooking. Yall aren't being careful what you wish for
@sagefromthe6551 I'm not exactly saying controls should be reversed. That's overkill. But to have absolutely zero abilities of his zanpakuto is crazy. He's basically a plain samurai at this point. This is just lack of creativity from the devs. Let's not even mention the absence of his bankai.
@DerriousGamez that's a full character breakdown bro. We saw Aizen's unique abilities, yama's too. Kaname and literally everyone else's all from the trailer and character breakdown.
@@Honest_Mids_Masher They could've easily made his inverted world ability similar to Rey's in battlefront 2 where she can invert the directional buttons of players for a short while and it also has a cooldown. With shinji they can do that for directional and attack/block buttons but they chose to omit it entirely which is really disappointing.
@Sanji_Vinsmoke_69 Battlefront 2 has way more of an open space giving the opponent a chance to create some distance until it wears off. Comparing a game with such a large map and a lot of things are going on to a fighting game where it's just you and the opponent face to face and the opponent can get in your face whenever they want with hardly any counterplay is a bit too much. It's comparable to afterimage strike in Sparking Zero where it's almost an instant win on it's own
@@Honest_Mids_Masher I get your point about fighting games having less open space than something like Battlefront 2, but I think you’re exaggerating the potential impact of Shinji’s ability being implemented in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. Reversing controls doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an "instant win" or creates no counterplay. A cooldown, a limited duration, or even a manageable activation range can make it fair. Take Mortal Kombat’s "Confusion" mechanics or Guilty Gear's "negative penalties", these temporarily disrupt the opponent but are far from broken. Also, consider Bleach itself: Shinji’s inverted world in the anime/manga doesn’t make him invincible. Skilled opponents (like Aizen) could adapt to it with enough effort and strategy. The same principle could apply here: give players tools to deal with the ability, such as visual cues or specific countermeasures, to balance it. Omitting it entirely removes a unique layer of strategy that makes Shinji such a standout character. Instead of dumbing it down to an unblockable move, why not lean into his lore-accurate ability and tweak it for balance? That way, fans of the source material and the game both win.
