Hey man thanks for the tutorial lesson. Helped me hear a few notes I was missing. If I could offer a suggestion, listen to the rhythmic accents on the solo. Brewster plays the descending line in groups of three, accenting the first note of each triplet. It think that would really take this solo over the edge for you!

Awesome job on the guitar lead tutorial on this song, Joey. I googled this song title by Lincoln Brewster and your Video channel showed up. I like Lincoln Brewster's lead guitar style but his solo is really fast and his technique is hard to follow. The way you slowed down the tempo on this guitar solo makes it a lot easier to pick up and learn. It's just a matter of repeating the solo over and over again until it sinks in. Again, great job. People like me are still playing and listening to this song after 9 years later. God bless.
Joey that is a very passionate performance you gave to the Lord Jesus. You are on the right path teachings us and moving our hands to better serve him. Thank you my Christian brother and God bless you.
A little help here. I've been playing guitar for 10 years but i feel like i'm stuck in a rut. I'm getting little or no progress at all considering that time frame. I recently mastered all the commonly used chord inversions in worship but have no idea when it comes to phrasing and soloing. Could you give me some learning materials or exercises/techniques that could help me become good in playing guitar? I really wanted to solo in the style of Lincoln Brewster. Thanks!
Joey Atansio Thanks, I'm looking forward to your tips. I've been practicing chromatic scales and working up my finger speed but i really need to brush up more on my finger accuracy and left/right hand coordination. Guess i need some exercises on that portion. By the way I have some questions regarding your practice routine. I'll list down all my questions and frustrations. 1. How long do you practice the guitar on a daily basis? 2. Do you play by ear and guess those licks note for note or do you base it on scales? 3. Tips on practicing finger speed. BTW im using a metronome. 4. Practice routines. 5. Scales you use the most. P.S. I have downloaded Lincoln Brewster's Vol 1 & 2 DVD so you don't have to come up a video and teach me everything you know. Just a bunch of tips is very much appreciated. Thank you!

I'm sure I can come up with some exercises to help you become a better soloist. Thank you for your input and I'll see what I can do.
