You know it's an amazing pedal when Pete just hits record and starts spitting fire! I've been running an EQ after my mid-humped OD for years to make it work with my Voxy style amp and also been eyeing an Archer pedal. Stoked to get my hands on one of these!! All hail Steve Stevens (and you too PT).
Steve Stevens has been one of my fave players for over 3 decades, and not just because he's a fellow New Yawker like me. :) I actually ran into Steve eons ago in a music shop on NYC's legendary 47th street - what an incredibly nice, humble guy. One of the guitar mags back in the day [in an interview with Steve as he was laying rhythm tracks down for his first solo record] brilliantly described the power and sheer chronal-precision of Steve's rhythm playing as metronimically perfect, his right hand hitting the strings in the most ideal way possible every single take, every single chord. That has stuck with me for more decades and I absolutely can hear that sheer precision in Steve's playing every single time. And it is a fact to anyone who knows music that without Steve, Billy Idol would never have become the megastar artist he is today. Yet another classic example of a perfectly matched singer-guitarist set of bookends. Page-Plant, Daltrey-Townsend, Axel-Slash, Blackmore-Dio, Blackmore-Gillan, Roth-Van Halen, Stevens-Idol....And let's not forget the immortal Raygun on a MICHAEL JACKSON record either. Pete, brilliant works as always - but then again, we expect nothing less from you :) How's the new album going??? And please tell us Steve is guesting somewhere!! cheers guys...AWESOME sounding pedal.
So true. That little stage where Billy and Steve broke up was very lackluster.....for both of them I think. When I first heard the You're Invited song SS did w Vince Neil I didn't even know Steve was on it.
I own several Vintage MXR 6 band Eq's,a couple10 bands , and for post Eq I have an Empress Para Eq ,Boss Para Eq, and 2 Furman PQ3's and a PQ4 rack units. Jerry Garcia, David Gilmour to DIME, and just about every other well known Guitarist and probably many of the people commenting know the importance and advantage of Eq's as well as Overdrives,Tube Screamers, and even Treble Boosters. As soon as Pete engaged the Archer OD w/ the Eq strips dead center it sounded great. It really looked like you were enjoying yourself Pete. What can you say about Steve Stevens. One of my favorites and not so long ago I believe he was under appreciated. Not so much it appears. Great pedal ! 10% to Children's Cancer ! You guy's rock.
Great demo as always this pedal definitely a add on the pedal board or studio. What a amazing touch to give 10% to Children cancer fund. Awesome interview Mr Stevens. Thanks Pete
God Damn I love Steve Stevens Playing. . His work with Bozzio and Levin = MIND BLOWN FOR DAYS. the dude is a master, you hear his playing and then you see him and its like holy shit the witch from the bugs bunny Cartoon has mad as fuck guitar skills
Fantastic demo, thanks! I'm really after one of these. I have a Thorpy Peacekeeper which is pretty flexible in a similar way, but the EQ just opens up infinite possibility for overdrive and boost!
Every Rockett pedal I've tried i love , they are made extremely well and are the perfect size for your pedalboard and now finding out they donate 10% of their proceeds makes me love them even more thanks Pete your playing is always inspiring !
An OD with an EQ. Finally! What a fantastic song. Astounding "shredding" by both of you! Mr. Stevens continues to sound better and better! You two gearheads must have had a blast reviewing this kickass product from an equally rated company. And yeah, I realize I'm a year late but I just found this video by RUclips fluke. K, back to the video!
Me too. Love both these Guys. I Always was a huge-fan of their: J. Rockett Blue Note Overdrive. This pedal will definitely get your: Steve Stevens: "Flesh for Fantasy" or "Dirty Diana" Sound.
That's a very useful idea with the graphic EQ. Most drive pedals I've seen don't have that many ways to shape the EQ, usually having Bass/Mid/Treble or just a Tone knob. I'd like to see a high-gain distortion pedal that has a graphic EQ. I could tell you were having fun with the pedal here, too. You seemed super excited the entire time.
Great video, thanks Pete (& Steve of course). It'd be really cool if you could have another camera on the pedal, that you could cut to when you're tweaking the controls, so we could see what your seeing.
Simply put...fun to watch. And Steve S tone, WOW! Pete, your demo was great, when you bumped the mid slider, yikes! then the other mid slider, that was it for me...I will own that pedal in just a few clicks from now.....
Great pedal, great tones & great playing. I prefer Klon-style od's myself & this is such a great idea. Really enjoyed this one Pete, I could tell you enjoyed making it as your playing (& Steve's!) is extra spicy. Outstanding work sir.
Consider putting a switch for the EQ position, before or after the drive circuit. To me, the best application is before the drive circuit to give clarity to your overdrive tone. Just like having a wah wah before your drive pedal.
Two amazing and hot guitarists and cool interesting contrasts in their style and sound. In a money making project along the lines of Night Ranger, these two would be great together.
Steve Stevens, probably one of the best and nicest guitarists on the planet. Just watched him and realized with his hair cut, he'd look exactly like Dustin Hoffman.
Man, I've been stocking up on the Archer line from these guys, and plan to add this soon. Thanks Pete, even 4 years later!
Pete Thorn notes are clean as Heaven! What a Beautiful playing!
Every Pete Thorn video is pure joy ! Thank you Pete
Ten % to childhood cancer. Reason enough. My childhood friend died of leukemia at 8. Purchased.
Damn Steve. Incredible playing and UNBELIEVABLE guitar. And hats off as usual Pete.
You know it's an amazing pedal when Pete just hits record and starts spitting fire!

cheers guys...AWESOME sounding pedal.
Can i just add Sambora-Bon Jovi and Bettencourt-Cherone. Thanks!

Two of my favourite guitarists in one show, Steve's run is brilliant just a style all his own typically signature. Top marks video.

Another great posting. Loving this and great to see Steve.

Stevens playing is just in sooo excess and melodic. Fabulous. Great players.
Fantastic demo, thanks! I'm really after one of these. I have a Thorpy Peacekeeper which is pretty flexible in a similar way, but the EQ just opens up infinite possibility for overdrive and boost!
I was thinking how much I love Pete's green Suhr, then Steve Stevens shows up with What?!?! Nice rip guys, Steve always over the top!
Every Rockett pedal I've tried i love , they are made extremely well and are the perfect size for your pedalboard and now finding out they donate 10% of their proceeds makes me love them even more thanks Pete your playing is always inspiring !

Damn SS ... sick Tone! Nicely done. PT ... yours was great too, but I wasn't expecting that from SS. Outstanding. Nice knaggs too.
The Tone King Steve’s tone blew my mind when I first turned this video on.
Pete, loved the demo with Steve and love that the pedal has a 6-band EQ!
Great sound as always!! Amazing pedal.
Bought this pedal after seeing this video...as well as many of Pete's others videos, I'm going broke maaaan!...
Great stuff! Steve Stevens is sooooo underrated.
atquinn1975 how is a multi-platinum session guitarist underrated? He has plenty of guitar magazine covers and feature stories through the years.
Agreed. Probably because his is associated with Billy.
Cool pedal, excellent demo, & great sounds as usual....thanks Pete & Steve.
steve Stevens=bad ass riff machine!!..I'm getting that pedal
What asshole would ever give a video of PT and SS jamming, hanging out, and reviewing a killer innovative pedal a thumbs down???
Shame!
Shame!

Haters are gonna hate...
Really nice tones and excellent playing by both !
Excellent gentlemen! Y'all should collaborate on an album. I'm serious.

always great videos and awesome playing!
this video is already legendary
You guys both nailed it. I'm thinking about this as a boost into medium to high gain on the amp. The scooped tone sounded brutal.
Wow guys! Love it!!! 💪👍
Pete, great video as per usual!! Real application, real talk. And from a fellow Canadian!! ... this is a must have pedal!!! #imusthave
Sounds awesome guys. Wow.

Very cool! Great idea to combine the graphic eq and overdrive in one!
Simply put...fun to watch. And Steve S tone, WOW! Pete, your demo was great, when you bumped the mid slider, yikes! then the other mid slider, that was it for me...I will own that pedal in just a few clicks from now.....
Holy shit... you guys are amazing. What a fantastic pedal too.
I'd love to hear this through the loop as a solo boost..
That sounds GREAT!
Digitech PDS-1550 dual OD/distortion pedal has a great parametric EQ to shape the result tone. I enjoy it a lot.
Pete! Killer video! I really dig your clips! Keep up the awesome work!
flawless as always!
Pete: I have never seen this before.
Long forgotten Akai G-Drive: 😩😭
Nice! Great tone coming out of your studio!
Two guitar gods in one room nice!
Great pedal, great tones & great playing. I prefer Klon-style od's myself & this is such a great idea.
Really enjoyed this one Pete, I could tell you enjoyed making it as your playing (& Steve's!) is extra spicy. Outstanding work sir.
Omg Steve I want your Knaggs that you're playing in this video! It's so 80's flashy it's beyond badass!! Love it Steve!!
Consider putting a switch for the EQ position, before or after the drive circuit. To me, the best application is before the drive circuit to give clarity to your overdrive tone. Just like having a wah wah before your drive pedal.
Awesome!!!! you Rock!!! pretty good demos!
There's another eq/od pedal made by a well known American amp company. This pedal gives them a good run though. I'd love this one on my board
Scott Mac yes, mesa does these! 😉
That's cool. Great stuff. Thanks, Pete.
you re right ,this is a really nice pedal, i ve got one, it sounds great for pushing amps
Great demo! Thanks guys! :)

Wow, those were some nice tones (and some not so nice ones to my ears). Was not aware of J Rockett's charity work. Kudos.
Pete , I'm calling Joe Satriani and see if we can't get you onto the next G3 tour !!
Awesome playing as always , and great Video !!
OnfloorAudio That would be amazing to have Pete a part of G3!
