My Kia Optima shakes when it hits around 60mph. We’ve checked for worn rotors, unbalanced tires and wheels, almost everything and this is our last thought. When hits 60mph I get a knocking from driver side wheel and aggressive shaking as i continue to accelerate.
I was told by an auto body shop that my 2018 Kia Optima doesn't have "independent axel" yet a mechanic wants to charge me $600 for a broken axel! Who do I believe?
How about driving straight and hearing a clicking noise, could that be cv joint, I do see the inner boot is a broken, only when I drive straight, not when turning and no vibration.
Dude same problem but just on roads where speed limit is 35...on the highway you cannot hear anything. My boot is damaged on the driver's side, can see grease...I'll buy if from O'Reilly's. $185 😭
@@tammex08 Did you fix it? Should have went with cheap aftermarket. I hear a lot of brands are the same and this particular part doesn't need to be the expensive ones. I purchase both for under $100 a piece
@@adictiveadictive yeah man I was able to fix it. Used an unexpected tool to get it off the transmission though since space is very constricted down there. Chisel 😂
2015 Optima - no grease, no vibration, no clicking, but I feel a loose giggle when I go over railroad tracks or loose uneven pavement. A mechanic said it was my axle and I needed to get both sides at the same time. I feel like it may be something else.
does He talk about vibration? It can be thousand things. I have changed the whole suspension, change three times tires, balanced and alignment twice and NOTHING. still vibration
If I have a comment to make is that you are talking too fast, I understand that you have a lot to say and want to keep the video as short as possible, but it is also important that your viewers don't have to rewind so they can repeat and try to make out what you said. Tank you for the video.

LX 2.4? What do you mean "independent axle"? I have the same model and have 2 axles, left and right. What did you end up doing?

Did you figure out what that is?

It was just that one side? Or did you replace both?

What did it turn out to be? Engine mounts?
@@adictiveadictive still not sure. I changed my sway bars and I still feel the jiggle.
Sway bar end links fixed this on mine
