The type of hat you bought is called a ‘boater’ worn until fairly recently in the U.K. in some private schools as part of the Summer uniform, they also used to be worn by young men when ‘boating’ on the river in the Summer.

The toothpaste jar was such a wonderful find! I have a collection of pipes only because it reminds me of my grandpa who smoked a pipe in his favorite chair. I loved the smell of his pipe. An antique booth near me sold nice vintage pipes for $8 each, so I’d buy one every time I’d shop there. Finally got 6 to fill a an old pipe holder. I love it!
I love the way they smell to! When I was very little our neighbor smoked them and the smell is engraved in my memory! Lol

The writing on it reminds me of the marmalade jars. Some of my favorite pieces are from England, ironstone, marmalade jars & pitchers etc. Yes to more color in spring decor. Can't remember the brand of the ducks but they were pricey to me.

I can vouch that the Toothpaste Jar from Salford, Manchester has the Royal Approval logo on the lid, which means it was used by our Royal Family, possibly by our late Queen Elizabeth as a child and her Mother before her. Now ..... How could you have left the Birds Nest behind ??? 😂 .... I mean, I emergencies you could have made Birds Nest Soup out of those 😎😂🍲 Thoroughly enjoyable video, always a delight. I love that toothpaste jar. I was at a Goodwill and there were 2 marmalade jars sitting there in plain sight and there were $4. I almost had a heart attack i could not believe it. The guy checking me out made a comment about them. 😍

I can’t see pricing but they look awesome for vintage.
I think I would’ve told the store whatever it is it’s just cute. I wouldn’t have told them what it was cause if they get any more they’ll jack the prices up. As far as the ducks are concerned, I see those here they’re like a dime a dozen they’re cheap, so I can’t imagine that they’re worth anything..
