  • This video shows how to perform basic terrain analyses such as slope, aspect, viewshed, watershed and flow analysis with Bison. It also demonstrates how Bison 'Analysis' components can be used to evaluate Terrain models imported with Docofossor.

    Hi there, any way to run the same kind of terrain analysis without Bison? I am working on a Mac and Bison is not compatible.

    Does anyone know of a plug-in that recreates this, now that Bison hasn't been updated for Rhino 7?

    in the video, you are using rhino6, right? I am using rhino7 to test out BISON, it seems not working for some components, like viewshed

    How can we use Bison to perform terrain analysis on autocad imported contour drawings?

    I tried this plugin after long time. But I am facing a issue with flow. The flow component turns red. I created a surface in Rhino and rebuilt it to modify the landscape. Imported in gh using container surface component and then meshed it and using dup border i generated the border and yet when i plug it in FLOW component it goes red. Any idea why that might be happening?

      Hard to know what is causing this issue

      similar problem, vor me somethimes it works and sometimes the flow doesn't. I couldn't find the reason for it. If someone has the answer - that would be interesting!

      @@dennisha5436 Hi, I am not sure as it has been a while but I remember saying the last time that i havent used it in a while so as far as I can recall BISON works perfectly fine in Rhino 6 however I faced issues in Rhino 7.

    Thank you for this video,I still have two questions regarding the "aspects", so what does the "angle" really mean in it and how we define the value of angle to get the information like which aspects is facing the sun in winter?

    • @CarlosBartesaghiKoc
      @CarlosBartesaghiKoc  2 года назад

      Aspect refers to the angle of each pixel in relation to the cardinal points. So if the pixel is facing North will be 0 or 360 degress, East will be 90 degrees, South will be 180 and so on. The number increase from 0 clockwise.

    What software is this and what does it cost? Grasshopper 7?, Bison? Rhino?

    Hi!, "flow" doesn't work in rhino 7 apparently

      Interesting observation. I will double-check. Regretfully, There is no Bison version for Rhino 7 and current version still is beta :(
