An Evening with Andy Williams: Live from the Royal Albert ... Tuesday May 30, 1978, at 8 p.m. Andy performed with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Filmed by the BBC, this fantastic performance was aired in two parts later the same year, when it was accompanied by interview segments with Benny Green. In 1990, PBS in the U.S. aired this concert several times to accompany its Summer and Fall pledge drives that year. Thre was not a better male singer in the last half of the 20th century!
This is the kind of stuff he should have always done instead of the hokey copies of hokey Top 40 songs. I didn't care for this arrangement, though, it just doesn't fit his style. He was NOT a jazz singer.
This was a somewhat hokey arrangement mixed in with the traditional arrangement. The worst part was the women in the background. The best part was his last note. I also didn't like his foray into top 40 music, but I also found his jazz based arrangements were more appealing.
This is an absolutely magnificent performance! Perfection! Thanks, Ben, for sharing.

Any songs for Andy he can do it because of his golden voice. The best of all..
