Sweet old boy. What a difference
I feel for that guy his mum is playing on his emotions! She knows it too!
Both the son and the daughter were lovely examples of wonderful dutiful children.
she didn't deserve such a lovely son. i would not expect either of my sons to put their lives on hold to take care of me 24/7. the father was less selfish, but even so, he essentially refused to go to a retirement home, but at least he felt some guilt.
Like many carers before and after them I hope they both at least found some happiness in life before their own old ages (if they got there).
God bless her son and hod bless her too
Hod?
@@CricketEngland May Hodor bless her too.
Man alive, what a situation!
Bloody hell - let him go out! Let him be happy.
if a parent truly loves their child then they want only the best for them, the best that life can offer including freedom, independence, a life partner, a career etc....the old lady here clearly doesn't care about this, which is sad and selfish. That said, her son should have made a stand long ago, when this first started. I hope he did finally find the freedom he deserved.
I worked in the community in the 80/90s a lot of mother's expected their unmarried children male/ female to pander to their every need / whim
Its a prison sentence. She knows EXACTLY what shes doing. Shes had her life. Let her son enjoy his.
What a selfish, devious mother, the father is the complete opposite
My thoughts exactly. Talk about emotional blackmail. From personal experience, you remember the bad parts most of all. I feel so sorry for the man. She is a selfish and manipulative woman who doesn't give a damn about her son.
Totally selfish and manipulative woman!!
Her son is so lovely... Poor man, my God, I do not know how he does it!!😢😢🙏🙏💕💕
Tbh whilst I appreciate he's doing a good thing for his elderly mother I think it's very selfish of her to expect him to provide constant care for her when in reality she should be in a care home. He's done his best but he's getting on himself & deserves to go out & be free enjoy life whilst he still can
Few families do this now !
But not healthy ,other family members should assist !
Family.
(4:25) Hmm.. Cheerful lady narrator, there.
For the record, I am caring for my disabled wife, full time.
We live on a low income, and life is difficult, but a "monotonous life" is a matter of choice, as is a "cheerless death".
I have hobbies, one of which raises funds for movie night money, lunches out, etc.
I've put "my career on hold", but not my life.
We looked after my dying mother in law, to the time of her death, as well, five years ago now.
She didn't want to be a burden (like the old minister said), either.
Of course she was, but I believe in the grand scheme of things, that it was just what we needed to do.
I believe in faith, hope and love.
Keep calm and carry on.
It's a difficult life, but you can do it.
If it's done out of love it makes it a whole lot easier.
As they say in the classics,
"Ain't that the truth."
poor guy. my brother accepted to do this (but he was 30,000 GBP in debt to her, so he felt obliged) and I couldn't (chronic disease) and wouldn't (she had been vile with me). anyway good on them.
Big money now !
Let's be honest. He wasn't getting married anyway, batting for the other team and all.
I bet there's lots of things he's rather be doing than putting on her compression stockings every day though, let's be even more honest
What??
He was entitled to have a life and that was quite a sweeping statement.
