    Im a life long LFC fan. Its been wonderful watching Wrexham be lifted up. At this point Rob is a sports fan, if not quite absorbed by the magic of football. He gets what sport means to a community. Here Ryan is the business man and philanthropist. Watching him discover how football gets into your soul has been weirdly emotional.
    But the real hero is Humphrey Ker for getting Rob interested in football and creating the shortlist that put Wrexham top.

    I'm 67 years old, I went to Yale High School.As a schoolboy I had a trial for Wrexham in the John Neal days but this is something I never thought I would see. Just to be valued like this is a tremendous boost for the club and the town. A better education of our upcoming generations so that they know more of Wrexham's rich heritage would be something I'd like to see which never happened back in the day. What an amazing venture this is! Hats off to the home supporters who through their dogged loyalty for tbe club have created this magical situation with these two wonderful guys. Incredible! Pob Lwc! I grew up in Kentucky in a small town called Middlesborough. This was obviously named after Middlesbrough, England. (The spelling difference comes from a clerk who forgot an "o" when the English town applied for status as a municipal "Borough" in 1853. From my understanding both towns have the same pronunciation when spoken.) I tried to get into English League Football and used the city my city was named after as an "in" and so rooted for Middlesbrough but, at the time, they were terrible. So I dropped it pretty quick.
      Now I have a new team to root for!

    I think there should be a Celtic Club Cup between all club sides in the Scottish Premier plus selected sides from Wales, N Ireland, R Ireland, Cornwall, Brittany and the Isle of Man. This would be on top of domestic and European football.
    Imagine games like Nantes v Wrexham, Aberdeen v Shamrock Rovers, Glasgow Celtic v Derry City, Linfield v Dundee United, Connah's Quay Nomads v Glasgow Rangers. or Ross County v Cork.
    They allow Welsh, and Irish sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup. So UEFA are ok with cross border cups,

      Up until this year due to coronavurus. The scottish challage cup(scottish version of JPT) had 2 teams from ireland, North of Ireland, Wales and english national league. As Wrexham actually played rangers U-21s a few year back in the cup

    Wrexham are a decent club, should definitely be a league club, seen my team Blackpool play there many times to decent crowds with passionate fans, love that kop they have. This is a bit weird, these guys being involved, but won't take much to get them back in the league. This idea of them being a "global brand" is a bit unrealistic and I can't see it, sounds like a buzz word these guys are addicted to.

    The bigger issue here, which I hope they consider, is not to price the residents out of their property. Don't turn Wrexham into a "city". I know that's almost impossible, but it can be done by including the zoning boards and other local gubment entities that would make sure that the countryside of Wales doesn't turn into a vast colony of McMansions. I live in Atlanta and that's how it is here....for other reasons, of course, but it's sad seeing things just disappear.

    • @JG-ib7xk
      @JG-ib7xk 2 года назад +1

      @@mcseforsale no worries man. I know its easy (and sensible) to have concerns when people who have no connection to a place or proper understanding of the sport swoop in a buy a historic football club. I think so far they've shown that they really do care about the club and the local community, and have gone out of their way to make sure the fans are included, and have made changes to make it easier for disabled fans to go and watch matches etc. So hopefully they can carry on in this way amd make sure they don't make it difficult for the hardcore fans to keep supporting the team.
      And an easy way to think about the league is just like one huge list of teams, from top to bottom. Every 20 (or so) teams you go down the list you cut the list, and those 20 teams are against each other for that season. You go down the list chopping every 20 teams. Then they play the season, and the top two (or three) teams from each league move up the list to the next group of 20, and the bottom two (or three) move down to the group of 20 below. The higher up the list you are, the more money you get from TV deals etc.
      So theoretically, if Wrexham did exceptionally well, and finished in the top 2 every year, they could get to the Premier League (the top of the list of teams) in 4 years, going up a league each time until they're at the top league (they're currently in the 5th league down).
