Thanks for the great video. I was born in 87 and my dad played paintball back then. We lease out to a paintball field that has been operating on the back half of our farm since 1989.
If we can somehow make paint cheaper where kids can afford to play every weekend the sport will grow. Investing in the youth will always be the key to growing a sport.
Which is a simple matter of the paint manufacturers lowering their cost to vendor and the vendor not trying to scalp every single case they receive. One can hope.
Every Business is hard, But paintball industry look like extra level of pain.... Looking at the Top dose not give idea what it is but what it could be.
Unfortunately those numbers are nothing in the grand scheme of things. I want to see it grow, however. But for someone to get in, unless they've got a lot of capital, makes it very hard, especially internationally. Also cheeky Pursuit of Glory camo at 14:14 on the printer haha.
8:27 That’s actually hilarious 😂 Also I was actually very surprised at how many orders they get. With paintball not being the biggest sport I would’ve guessed maybe like 20 orders a day but if you take 50000 per year which is what was stated and divide that by 365, that’s about 137 orders per day 🤯 Also end note my calves are growing a bit too much I can barely carry around the weight, I’ve liked too many MTGR vids 😭 Doesn’t mean I’m stopping though
220 million industry wide is way smaller than I thought. Jeez. I work for a small company of about 100 people no one has ever heard of and we’re gunna do over 100 million by ourselves this year. Gotta imagine margin is super thin as well.
At its peak, the paintball industry was worth about $1 billion around the late 2000s, then the recession hit and a mix of poor business decisions and now it’s worth about 1/3 of what it used to be.
The problem with this industry is accessibility, your bare minimum buy-in is 350 for a marker you'll want to dump another 300+ into that'll still never get close to the 1100+ markers in terms of performance. The fact the community tells new players to get a sponsor if they wanna play is just crazy. It's not helping that Airsoft is much more accessible and then Dartsoft has absolutely exploded over the last 4 years. The average Ion Rush match in dartsoft caps at 200fps- with 1g to 1.5g darts. They hit just as hard as paint and you can buy-in right now at Walmart for $40, just grab a few extra mags. Paintball is a great sport, but the industry is way too overpriced and is the main factor leading to the sport declining. Something has to budge, hopefully not the sport.
Some of the higher end airsoft stuff is comparable in price to high-end paintball markers (1-2k). Ammo is definitely cheaper. Now I do like the nerf stuff, but I've only ever seen 200fps out of spring powered. The flywheel stuff with lipo mods is close but still lacks the umph of a paintball. They should do a hpa Nerf blaster, honestly.
Have you priced golf clubs? High end Baseball equipment? Airsoft stuff? Nothing is cheap if you want to do it and be competitive. Recball is a different story, and is about the same cost wise as most other hobbies that require you to own land or visit a facility. A 350 marker you can play with at the pro level if you want. An etha is perfectly serviceable and soes everything a high end marker does
Ik this has nothing to do with this video but I don’t know if I brought my mini gs 🤦♂️, very new to pb and just bought the mini gs and I turned the psi up and twisted the tank on. Just sounded like air was going through the gun and I quickly took off. Just wondering if anyone was dumb enough to do what I did.
@@johncouture6752 he didn't directly say it but they were making more from the online store and it was less work. When covid hit they shut down and the online side took over.
@@TheSonsOfSimon the popular stuff goes quick. They buy stock from suppliers so they don't over buy things or else it's just sitting in the wearhouse collecting dust. What is it you're looking for? I can ask if it's getting restocked?
@@MattTheGymRat I was trying to buy an Axe Pro 2.0 when ANS had them on sale for $325, and then last month an Etha 3M with Speedster combo, and I was going to use your code. Unfortunately they were out of stock both times. And your code doesn’t apply to some products… 🤷♂️
@@TheSonsOfSimon I gotcha. Yeah I'm not sure why they would be out of 3M stuff. About the code. They can't discount all items which I why I say "Select items" because we would be there forever if I listed off all the items they give discounts on. It works mostly on soft goods, add ons, and cheaper goods that aren't regulated like higher end products.
@@MattTheGymRat it’s no problem. Ultimately, I’m just hoping they read these comments and see that some of us would love to do business with them if the items were showing in stock.

@@Nastytktok It was cool to actually see all the uns and outs. I'm glad we got to show everyone.
Plenty of good times at that indoor field thanks to the lone wolf crew. They have ALWAYS been top tier 👌
Keep killing it Matt. I learned everything I know about Paintball from your videos.
Lone wolf does it right. Hope they keep growing!

I thought tony was the owner or is he related to the owner
Joe and Tony are brothers. Joe does all the buisness and Tony does all the social media.
If you wanna make a small fortune in paintball, start with a large fortune.

I turned the psi down and it seemed to fill up with air but my tank didn’t really have much air in it the second go around
The real question is why they let the field side of the business go
@@johncouture6752 he didn't directly say it but they were making more from the online store and it was less work. When covid hit they shut down and the online side took over.
Pretty sure their indoor just became warehouse space. Which is a shame because we need more indoor fields in the midwest weather is killer here
How do these guys have such a massive warehouse, but they’re out of stock on just about everything that I want online?
