- Tokyo Toy Show 2024 has begun and the exhibitor hall is set up for the Thursday night and we got our FIRST LOOK at some Transformers product; Transformers Masterpiece MPG-14 Godbomber for the combiner of God Ginrai, Dramatic Capture Series Triple Takeover Starscream, Astrotrain and Blitzwing, Bump of Chicken Bass Convoy and more!

God Bomber looks like CHUGs scale 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Astrotrain should've gotten some remolding for the shuttle to fix the gaps there. And honestly the train needs work because the nose is weirdly narrow.
on a real train the front wheels would be useless because they wouldnt be on the rails
I picked up my Earthrise and Coronation Starscream on clearance, and there are still full priced Coronation Starscreams at some of my local Walmarts.
I think it's because it's an out of date mold

God Ginrai may have to be my next big purchase. I wasn't going to get Ginrai unless they did God bomber to combine... and now they do!
Well, with this I can have a G2 Starscream now with Toyhax's labels, and replace my Astrotrain with a nicer-looking one. Blitzwing looks okay as is though.
the dramatic capture is a reference to the episode where blitzwing took over a football field

DCS Starscream has a richer color indeed, I think it’s definitely a painted hue as opposed to the darker SS86 hue
Triple takeover refers to the episode of the same name . When astrotrain and blizwing took over
I'm pretty sure this is based on the g1 episode where the three plot to overthrow Megatron together, but the two triple changers use reverse psycology to get Starscream to lead him into the trap so they can cut him out, leading to the Decepticons completely falling apart.
So far none of these dramatic exclusive do it for me. The closest was Autobot one but 86 Optimus was coming around.
As one of the three people in the world who actually liked that Blitzwing figure I would love to get this for him and the Astrotrain. The cost is prohibitive though, especially since the Starscream isn't enough different to warrant replacing the original
Yo protoman and everyone else what I’m saying what I’m to now the other dramatic capture set which is like the third one we have and I’m just like I think it’s time for the three figures to have new molds for studio series 86 especially astrotrain and blitzwing
God Ginrai looks great
It's actually very smart of them not to include the throne with starscream since it came with the first 3 pack with Megatron, Soundwave and Shockwave.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the G1 episode that is also referenced by the name of the second Dramatic Capture release. Especially since the stars are two of the three in that pack.
Also I definitely want to pick up MPG-14 at some point. Looks amazing.
I think the triple take over set is based on the triple taker episode it obviously is that’s an episode where all three play a huge part
Triple Takeover is an Episode of Season Two - the one where Megatron says "You're either lying, or you're stupid!" And Starscream says "I'm stupid! I'm stupid!" - They just want to sell you 3 Leader Class figures.
No throne makes sense since we already got it with the Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave 3 pack
the triple takeover is based on a g1 episode. astrotrain and blitzwing look amazing and i hope we will see ss86 versions that look like them and godbomber looks amazing but im waiting for a generations one
Astrotrain is the only one I'd want and the only one that's actually a good mold.
The SS86 Starscream has no paint on his tail fins because it’s animation accurate. He didn’t have those in the cartoon. It wasn’t missing to save money. They’re not supposed to be there. They were added in the ER model just because they looked cool, and so guess people wanted them back?

Proto, I remember awhile back you said that the bad guys tend to not sell well in the Japan markets. Despite this I am pretty bummed by the lack of the Con leaders in the MP/MPG lines. We’ve been through 4 Autobot leaders (6 if we include the Maximals) and the 2 Megatron are all we got for the Cons.
legacy Blitzwing was a miss for me with its front mounted plane cockpit in tank mode.
Studio Series Astrotrain could work for me if they cover that missing section in shuttle mode.
I'm skipping all the Dramatic Capture stuff. It's a cash grab to finally use the molds before we get much better versions. It didn't draw me in, whereas 4 or 5 years ago I wouldn't have had the foresight and bought it all needlessly.

I personally can't get too excited about the Dramtic Capture Series G1 Blitzwing, as I personally think a Third Party is doing a better cartoon accurate version.
I'm over MP figures, given the overly complex engineering and toon aesthetic. I'd rather an SS86-sized Ginrai and appropriately-scaled trailer and Godbomber, to be honest. I haven't pre-ordered the MP PM Prime, and that was my favorite Christmas present growing up.
Did we ever get an Earthrise Nemesis Prime ? Or was it just the Siege ?

Nope, triple take over is referencing a season 2 episode of the same name..much hilarity is had as these guys create their own teams..
Definitely not getting the Godzilla stuff. That's just lazy. It's a black Grimlock with a Megatron head. It should've been a completely new mold that honestly should be similar to Dragonzord with a lot of Snarl plates on the back. Transform like Grimlock, fine, but don't be the same mold.
Like atleast change the head in Dino mode to look like Godzilla more 😂😂😂

Anyone think they'll do a new MP Star Saber if they do an MP Victory Leo? or just Victory Leo?
I only need Astrotrain, and hate that they're doing another one of these bundles with more recent bots. Would rather a pack with Astrotrain, and Shockwave, instead of these triple packs they've had. Or just sell them separately...
I tried watching master force but I can't get into fully. Not knocking it or bashing it at all but what is the hype for it?
Same here, couldn't get into it or it's that I'm not much of an anime enthusiast.
Triple takeover is not from the movie. It's a season 2 episode.

There’s something that really bugs me about the Dramatic Capture Series. The molds are so outdated and old now. Blatant cash grab
