Today we are going to put the Orville against the NSEA Protector.
This was the most requested battle from the Orville video.
Tomorrow I will put the Orville against the Defiant.
Played from both sides in Star Trek Bridge Commander Remastered UE17.

The Orville isn't even the most powerful ship in the Union Fleet, either. It's considered a mid-level explorer.
But the guy cruisers . Get wrecked so quickly
Initially. After the series of upgrades by Isaac, it probably ended up the most advanced ship in the Union fleet.
This went about as well as i expected it to. Like a Constitution Refit vs a Galaxy
I think that exactly aligns with the cannon concepts, since Galaxy Quest (and the Protector) are supposed to parody the TOS Star Trek series, while the Orville show & ship spoof TNG-Plus.
The Protector needed some mines my brother.
It should be interesting to see some ships from "the Expanse" again the nx Enterprise
As long as that cheap Akira clone gets destroyed I would love to see the NX get destroyed.

Exactly, this is not an accurate model of the complete ship design 😐
That was within expectations. The Protector would probably TOS era while the Orville would have been TNG-Voyager.
What we need is the upgraded Protector from when they relaunched the series at the end of the movie: GalaxyQuest The Journey Continues.
The fun part about the Orville is that it was first in flight!
The "historical documents" will need to be... "adjusted", to present the Protector as the winner. [cough]
NESA Protector is about the tech level of Enterprise while the Orville is pre Picard.

😲I saw that request and I knew you would do it Admiral. oh my.. I like both ships, I keep having flashes about the Protector.. NTE on the hull, they said stands for '' NOT THE ENTERPRISE'' lol. Also, compared with Star Trek.. the Orville has a quantum drive nice and the Protector, the upper level separates, 2 separate bridges...also a 13 sec time machine but only back in time hmm lol. First time seeing the Protector with that beam , didn't see in in the movie.. at 2:28 Could hear Guy screaming lol.. Love the battle Admiral, and these 2 ships, eeh poor Protector.. Now have to watch the movie..lol. and RIP Alan Rickman !😊🖖

I think the Orville is better looking that all the Star Wars ships and over 90% of the Star Trek ships. Fantastic design.
There needed to be a canonical ship called "Squiddy."

Its too bad the NESA Protector couldnt drag a large number of magnetic mines to use offensively against the Orville..
The Antonov An-225 Mriya was one of a kind, only one actually finished, and sadly destroyed by the Russians shortly after they started their war in Ukraine. She was to fly out the very morning that the invasion began.
Gonna go ahead and say that the Orville has it.
My recommend: Donnager vs Omega-class Destroyer or Space Battleship Yamato vs Star Destroyer
For such an ineffective ship it's sad that it can't give up or surrender. :(
*laughs* looks like someone was paying attention when I said I wanted to see that, jokingly, over on the Dis, and told you :P if I can find somebody to work with, there is a better model of protector out there that I was handed by a now retired modeller. if only we'd seen WHERE protector fired her weapons from...
Edit: that is DEFINETLY not the true stock weaps from that version of Protector. someone orignally went whole hog and used the names straight from the parody and created original cores. this is an "updated to match someone's thoughts".

I don't know if you can make this happen, but, I would love to see a multi-universe match up with Enterprise E, Space Battleship Yamato, and Battlestar Galactica (pre-museum) working together as allies against a Cylon Basestar, the Reman Scimitar, and a Medarusa Class Gatlantis Heavy Battleship. A 3 on 3 matchup. Additionally, it would be cool to see each ship, Enterprise, Yamato, and Galactica, take on the enemy ships of the other universes (I.E. Yamato against the Scimitar and/or a Basestar, Galactica vs Scimitar or a Medarusa, Enterprise vs a Basestar or Medarusa, etc).
Another one I would like to see is Yamato Vs an Imperial 2 Star Destroyer.
That's it, you broke the ship. You broke the bloody ship!
Of course the Protector's weapons are ineffective. They're not all there. They still haven't modded them in. There's also no special ability that allows the Omega-13 to do its thing.
This was like putting a TOS Connie up against a Dominion War Galaxy Class lol. Just saying.

My question is what the source for the weapons of the Protector were. Forgive me for I haven't looked as of recently, but at least in the movie it had two different styles of particle weapons. Though knowing nothing about the Orville aside from liking their popcorn I know not what difference it would've made.

Considering the Protector is roughly on par with a Connie rifit while the Orville trashed a Galaxy with moderate difficulty, this went about as well as I expected.
And the Orville isn’t even a battleship in its setting more like the intrepid in trek

The original series ranges(according to Journey to Babel)
Phasers- 75,000 km
Star Wars weapons range
2,000 kms(all weapons)
Not sure how much difference that information will actually make on these types of fights though.

Very interesting match up. It would be better if you'd spent more time on analysis. e.g. what makes you think the Protector doesn't have shields?
Protector is worthless unless it's dragging mines behind it.
You should redo this again but make it 1 Orville vs. 3 Protectors.
