@@thevsigroup nothing wrong with the renovation. I just love the vintage style. It’s probably just my overreaction to modern interior design. I can’t stand white and when I see beautiful paneling being painted over it just makes me sad. To each his own I guess.

The kitchen, garden room and pool areas are vastly improved. And while I agree that the remainder of the house needed some freshening up, it breaks my heart to see so much of the Georgian character of the home obliterated.
I’ve never been a fan of single-color interior decor schemes as I find them boring - and this was no exception. When the garden room and the great room have the same atmosphere, what’s the pleasure in retiring to another room? To me, all that replication just makes a house seem smaller: when everything has the same imprint, I feel like I’m just staring at the same 4 walls.

Not sure if going from a bit dated to tacky is an improvement. If this is a 90ish's house, then not as much is lost, especially with painting over so much stain grade woodwork. Starting with the front door, def would not want the front of my home open for all to see. Also, probably would have been more sophisticated to work with what was already there in. Jarring contrasts just because you can are not necessarily good design solutions. So many other points in the video to comment upon, but cannot take the time as it really doesn't matter. Generally speaking then, as with making jarring contrasts, when spending money on interior decoration/design, it is not always necessary to spend money just because you can. That's the difference between old and new money. After glancing at a couple of frames again, in short, I don't see any connection from the owners' personality, to the project result. In my own practice, I have never been the kind of interior decorator (20 years NYC metro) to just go in and impose my latest ideas of what is "CLASSY!" on clients or to spend as much of their money as possible so I make more money on a project. Not saying that happened here of course.
