Great video. I have a harvest right medium which I bought for personal use in food preservation (especially meats). People around us loved the fruits and other fun things we tossed in every so often. My father-in-law waits by the door when I bring him a huge half gallon Ball jar of freeze dried seasoned tomatoes. He eats them like chips. We thought about making a business out of it, but we work full time in our fields and going out on the weekends (which are days we work) and interacting with the public and strangers are just not something we want to mess with. We hire out our freeze dryer to friends and co-workers who will bring us loads of food they want freeze dried and pack it up for sustainability for them. That is about as far as we want to go. It has been a great tool for us and we love it. We use it as a small side hussle and help make stuff for others who don't have access to a machine like it.
@@goodmorning713 we only rent to friends so we don't price gouge them. We just charge a flat fee of $5 so long as they provide us with their own final packaging. We looked at the price of energy and what the machine uses. We have a pretty low kwh rate of 9 cents.
