I just picked one up. I'm not fully sold on it. I almost lost it down a hole the first time out with it when the reel broke free from the screen when I wasn't expecting it. I wish ot had another 1/4" mounting location. So you could leave the reel on and mount to a tripod or have the lanyard attached at the same time. Mine also came with a clamp-style mount. It can't even hold the camera up. I think I'm just going to hard mount the camera to a cheap tripod in the hub. The picture is just as good as the 715c that it replaced.
Tripod is going to be the best option. It has two 1/4” mount options from memory. The weight savings outweigh all the gains over the 715c!! Thank you for commenting. Please give me a sub, I have more content on da way!
