I wonder if thin magnets would work for the closure. That way, no worries about the glue sticking to the flap, and you solve the flappy bottom situation (nobody wants a flappy bottom😆).
That 12x12 paper is sooo pretty! The folding looks doable, usually I don’t like to do multiple folds as it seems like a lot of work. Thanks for sharing! And while I really like butterflies, I would probably use just an altered paperclip (maybe with a butterfly on it). Stay blessed!

That part you are struggling with, just fold the corners to the middle and then reverse the fold to fold it inside. I hope that makes sense. It will take the struggle away. :)
