See, this is one of the biggest reasons why I dont watch the news at all. After I heard about the strike in Iran (and lets be honest, when is the US NOT bombing people?) I was scratching my head. "Alright, what are they (US government) not saying? What did they do now? What are they hiding?" Like 9/11, the Gulf War, the War of Drugs, etc. These are the questions I'm always asking when things like this happen. I also dont think its wrong to love and have appreciation for your country, but it's also our right and duty to question the status quo of everything about said country. Especially as a (black) US/American, there's been a ton of question the status quo as of late. Love your videos, man. Thank you.

amazing video. As someone from Lebanon (country with fairly strong connections to Iran), I can’t emphasize enough just how much I appreciate seeing an American actually taking into consideration the voices of the eastern people instead of blindly accepting western regime change narratives. The Iranian government is far from perfect but it’s not the rabid cartoonishly evil dystopia it’s depicted as, either. Theyre much more tolerant, much more democratic, much better in their position toward women and LGBT than the extremely close allies of America, Saudi Arabia and the gulf countries, who are all literally western puppet regimes. All the aggression between America and Iran has been very blatantly started and provoked by America. There’s no justifiable reason to defend American brutality against Iran, particularly when the primary victims of this are the average Iranian citizens. I’m so tired of hearing the white savior complex excuses of western liberals. “Oh those poor eastern people have such awful governments, us enlightened westerners need to go save them”. Like man, fuck off. Take one glance at basic history and see just how much this western “saving” has actually affected us and see how much this western “saving” was actually what toppled all the democratic progressive secular governments we’ve had (and we’ve had many) to replace them with puppet regimes that serve western interests of accessing our resources and oil. This process literally is what made our region so devastated and chaotic today and what set us back decades from the rest of the world... In this aspect I almost prefer conservatives to liberals because at least conservatives just straight up say “I don’t like those middle easterners, we should go attack them”. That’s at least less insulting than the liberal mindset of westerners having to “save” us
@TheStoryteller hey one thing Ive never understood is how everybody knows the problems and wants to raise ‘awareness’. But nobody ever wants to come up or aid in a solution that is free of any problems..this also applys to other world issues not jus USA and Iran
Consider the idea that, sometimes, the best solution isn't pretty. The benevolent suggestions of volunteering or aid delivery doesn't always work when one might wish, not everyone is interested in democratic solutions, and some people are into using force to have their crooked way. For example, North Korea. No one really thinks that the food aid sent their way will really go towards providing for its citizens. Few people think that the situation will resolve itself totally peacefully, in part because a free and reunified Korea would mean Kim Jung Un giving up his power. Withdrawing US forces and military installments from there, especially knowing that China considers the North to be a useful satellite, would be treacherously naive.
As an American citizen, I'm sorry. The fact that our country cannibalizes other smaller countries in order to maintain our honestly mediocre living conditions is a shame. Our lower and middle class gain nothing from these wars that we continue to perpetuate other than dead relatives. The ire that you feel towards us is understandable, but know that the decisions of the powerful of America is not a general reflection of our citizens. They prey on divisions in order to keep us from mobilizing to change anything. And for what it's worth, I am truly sorry and disgusted that things are this way
I don't know as much about Iran as I'd like, and I don't think that the general was a threat to the US (or UK which I guess is where you're from) but I do think that the General was a threat to stability in the middle east. He played a role in training Jihadist insurgents who have tortured civilians. I don't think it's black and white "America killed someone who did nothing wrong" more America decides when the bad shit people do is ok, and will look the other way when it works for them. Gadafi was seen as good during Iraq and the early days of Afghanistan, then Obama turned on him during the Arab Spring. I don't think that WW3 is going to happen, nor do I think that America will invade Iran (there's a great video on why that's a terrible idea on knowledgehub or historyhub I can't remember which one). However I personally cannot stomach the imperialist and undeserved nostalgia that Brexit and Trump keep spouting. That said, if Johnson messes up in the next 5 years he has nowhere to hide. I hope Trump wins in 2020 so he has 4 more years to fuck up. Love to have a proper discussion about this sometime but can't get it across in a comment section. Everything in politics ends in failure and that rhetoric is no different.

as a citizen the US pisses me off, Becuase I so desperately want us to actually live up too the american dream where everyone can live but I also know that imperialism is a bitch and half to rid yourself of.
I feel like patriotism should be redefined. Patriotism is supposed to be love for one's country, but a lot of people treat it as unconditional love that makes excuses for immoral actions made by the state. Patriotism should be the kind of love that corrects and remedies the injustices of the state, so that the country can live up to a positive standard and reputation.
I often think about why are we fucking around in other countries when our own has a fuckton of problems itself that needs fixing, in terms of natural resources America is completely self sufficient even with oil at the moment due to finding even more of it in Texas and new Mexico with a few other states, so why bother wasting resources in sinkholes of money and human life when there's more pressing matters in terms of national security and potential ceconomic gain. Maybe it's possible the people in power are too used to the economic boom of ww2 and trying everything in they're power to recapture it without ending the world, unfortunately that's not even possible.
There's some point I will agree with and other parts I will disagree with. Yes I will agree with you that because of international politics we have been seen as imperialistic and had practice imperialistic practices. We were doing that since Woodrow Wilson became president and set us on this path and we were not able to stop it. The matter became even worse after the reagan-bush era an amplified after Clinton and Bush jr. With 9/11. The 9/11 incident while yes tragic what happened was seen as now no more than excuse to spread our influence and personal dealings with interested parties in Israel and Saudi Arabia. Not to mention the fact that because we are helping Israel reclaim over Palestine even of the Israelites lost the right of their land centuries ago where now put it into a predicament of if you don't have the Israelites and the Jewish people we will be the Bringers of Armageddon * religion shapes our culture * However I will disagree with you in regards to the ideals of being Nationalist and patriotism. we had become more involved with other worlds Politics as opposed to our own and fixing our country sent after World War 1 which led to us getting to the first Great Depression. it also didn't have that we also got ourselves even more involved when we were also influencing Japan during the time frame and the Embargo against them when they were trying to conquer China ( China was already in a state of civil war to fight against what would later become the foundations of the CCP the Chinese Communist Party ) And after World War II we then Force us out to get even more involved with other Wars the biggest blunder that America got themselves into that wasn't even our war to begin with was the Vietnam War. a war that was doomed from the start
Because we're always constantly getting involved and globalist politics and serving the interests of others as opposed to America's requirements to reform itself as an Empire ( All Nations that have a large amount of influence no matter how little is classified as an Empire, all it is is just a different face and a different name ) and uproot the corruption that has forced us into these situations. I am a patriot and proud of my country despite it bad and Rocky history. As well as racism and so forth. However in order for a country to properly change they need to prioritize on fixing themselves starting from the top and the bottom to meet in the middle. It doesn't matter if you're a democrat or republican or some other third-party the importance of America is to help her people and ensure that her people survive and live as best they can. However we also need to stop getting ourselves involved with global politics and being the glorified patsies of interested parties for the Middle East. I am 150% for independence of other countries and I did not approve of the assassination of the leader of Iran. it's remind me to close of what happened with Clinton and the dictator of Libya. He was honestly a good man however when he refused to submit to Clinton's corruption he was brutally assassinated and Libya brought back slavery years later.
I think that war affects black people more than the fact that they end up working for Uncle Sam through prisons. They directly work under Uncle Sam by being forced into the military through poverty. I have a friend, he is black and gay and know that if he comes out to his family, he will not be able to make it because they would drop him on the street of the American South. So he enrolled in military to make sure to have somewhere to go. He pretend it was for the sake of knowing people and visiting places but this has a very small chances of happening to the average soldier. So... Like the Military main source is always going to be patriotic propaganda and national pride like you said. But their second biggest income is nonetheless Poverty. They use people who struggle and have no ways of getting out of this generational poverty which will end 8 generations later. And that's best case scenario. And black people, who have never reach 8 generations since the Civil rights movement, are of course more targeted by this very intense poverty. Plus a lot of black people sees the military as the clean way to get money, as they don't even see themselves as murderers but people fighting for freedom or whatever bullshit. They don't realize it's the same thing gangs are doing on the streets but instead of fighting for themselves or their family, they fight for Trump or other politics who don't care about them. I mean what I am saying isn't even that new. Mlk and most importantly Mohammed Ali were really anti-war and the fact that a enormous amount of black youth was dying in Vietnam for a country that were trying to silence their rights. And if they die there, they couldn't protest here. Because at the end of the day, it's all connected. It's a rabbit hole. A vicious circle. And the only one profiting from is American Imperialism.
I don’t know if you’re saying every American is the type who won’t give a shit about what is happening so I’m not going to really touch that but, I’m the type to make fun of my fears because humor is my coping mechanism. But I know how fucked up the USA is. I hate this country quite a lot honestly because my people (of my race) is always being fucked over for what we can’t change.
Well, Nationalism, in my opinion, is all bad. That's what you were talking about when you were talking about Patriotism. The ideas behind Patriotism and Nationalism are very different. Nationalism is the idea that you're better than other people because of your national identity, Patriotism is that you actually love your country (for example, you recognize its flaws) and work to improve it. However, just because all Nationalism is bad, that doesn't mean that all Nationalism is equally bad: White Nationalism is magnitudes worse than, say, Black Nationalism. Disclaimer: I'm a white cishet guy, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

amazing video.
That’s at least less insulting than the liberal mindset of westerners having to “save” us
One hundred and ninety-fifth! Great video as always friend very insightful
Also it's illegal U.S bases in Northern Africa.
America after bernie makes it a decent and fair country that doesn't attack other countries anymore "wait were we the baddies?"
"Vilainize an individual by any means possible..."
Gadaffi says hi.
I wish RUclips pushed your videos out more
As an American citizen, I'm sorry. And for what it's worth, I am truly sorry and disgusted that things are this way
The same way they can make people look bad is the same way they can make people look good.
No one really wants believe that biblical prophecy is not happening but it is all of this will come to an end.
Love your shit bruh
Gadafi was never seen as good. He invaded countries(and lost), and openly sponsored several bombings on western soil.
@@Hjernespreng True. But in the early 00s he was seen as an ally in the War on Terror. He let the US and UK use his air bases and in term MI6 found one of his old political enemies and gave them over as a gift. They even included a thank you note, if you can believe that.
He's always been a nasty piece of work though. I remember the day he died a bunch of Lybians celebrated on my uni campus. I didn't celebrate with as much gusto, but the man was a monster
I was with you until the last statement about wanting Trump to be voted back into office

Jingoism exists

Hi
you don’t post enough
There shouldn't be any countries
❤🌼🌟🌼
I often think about why are we fucking around in other countries when our own has a fuckton of problems itself that needs fixing, in terms of natural resources America is completely self sufficient even with oil at the moment due to finding even more of it in Texas and new Mexico with a few other states, so why bother wasting resources in sinkholes of money and human life when there's more pressing matters in terms of national security and potential ceconomic gain.
Maybe it's possible the people in power are too used to the economic boom of ww2 and trying everything in they're power to recapture it without ending the world, unfortunately that's not even possible.
What are the solutions to this issue?
Time for my daily dose of Red-Pill
There's some point I will agree with and other parts I will disagree with. Yes I will agree with you that because of international politics we have been seen as imperialistic and had practice imperialistic practices. We were doing that since Woodrow Wilson became president and set us on this path and we were not able to stop it. The matter became even worse after the reagan-bush era an amplified after Clinton and Bush jr. With 9/11. The 9/11 incident while yes tragic what happened was seen as now no more than excuse to spread our influence and personal dealings with interested parties in Israel and Saudi Arabia. Not to mention the fact that because we are helping Israel reclaim over Palestine even of the Israelites lost the right of their land centuries ago where now put it into a predicament of if you don't have the Israelites and the Jewish people we will be the Bringers of Armageddon * religion shapes our culture *
However I will disagree with you in regards to the ideals of being Nationalist and patriotism.
we had become more involved with other worlds Politics as opposed to our own and fixing our country sent after World War 1 which led to us getting to the first Great Depression. it also didn't have that we also got ourselves even more involved when we were also influencing Japan during the time frame and the Embargo against them when they were trying to conquer China ( China was already in a state of civil war to fight against what would later become the foundations of the CCP the Chinese Communist Party )
And after World War II we then Force us out to get even more involved with other Wars the biggest blunder that America got themselves into that wasn't even our war to begin with was the Vietnam War. a war that was doomed from the start

Good video and all but I’m not sure your know what the word patriarch means
Whats teh song at 8:03
Illop - One Two.
I don’t know if you’re saying every American is the type who won’t give a shit about what is happening so I’m not going to really touch that but,
I’m the type to make fun of my fears because humor is my coping mechanism.
