I used to work in detailling at a dealership, what id always do is: 1) spray the car down with water first, rinse as much dirt off as u can 2) foam the car with the foam gun, let it sit on the car for like 3-5 minutes 3)rinse foam 4) re-foam the vehicle 5) use washmit to clean the car with the foam on it 6) rinse 7) dry *Note: drying is the most important step when it comes to how it looks at the end and if there are any streaks, especially on black cars. make sure its completely dry and not in the sun when you are doing so
Let the suds work the dirt off before rinsing it down. Also I used and 8oz mini sledge hammer for banging on slider pins on the trailer. I also used meguires foam. I heard about chemical guys. I'm thinking about buying that type of foam. Stay safe and healthy driver.
The foam cannon is supposed to just throw lubrication on the truck and also emulsify some of the loose dirt off the vehicle. After that, depending on how much dirt is still stuck to the vehicle, ideally use a 2 or 3 bucket method (depending on if you do your wheels in depth or not) with a microfiber or wool wash mitt. Making sure to move in straight lines and not passing one spot more than twice. I’d recommend just watching a few videos of AmmoNYC, detail geek(Canadian), or even chemical guys.
Suds in the bucket,, good video I will be showing this one to s friend that has a dump truck thanks. And just to say it I am from the USA in southern ohio.
Suds in the bucket . We have one of these and we love it and we use a product called salt be gone it neutralizes the salt after winter great shit bro. Keep it up love the videos!!!
Have a snow cannon as well and I really like it. I have a black truck and hard well water so I always get bad water spots. Might try ordering that soap you used. Been wanting to get a CR Spotless deionized water filter. Supposedly the deionized water won't leave water spots and you don't have to towel dry it.
Look into a product called Air Force Blaster from a company called Adams. They sell an air blower that puts out a large volume of heated/filtered air through a 1.3 hp motor. This ought to help with your water spots too.
Wooowww. I am surprised for Canada. Canada is expected to be quite green-ecological. And that you can wash your truck outdoors without oil traps. This is something new for me. Regards from Slovenija.
Awesome video. My cheapo house pressure washer came with something like this but didn’t foam half as well. I will look into this for our shop pressure washer!
Suds in the bucket. Hi mate. Hope your all keeping sane and well. The warm water in the bottle with the soap allows it to mix easier than with cold water prior to use. Also remember, a snow foam wash doesn't replace a contact wash, it removes 90-95% of the dirty prior to a contact wash. If you don't want to use a brush for those large and high areas, try a Microfiber Madness Incredipole from Microfiber Madness, which is much safer on the paintwork. If you like your snow foam lance and using sealants rather than waxes, try CarPro Hydro2foam. It's a snow foam lance applied sealant that gets in all the nooks and crannies, simply spray on, the pressure rinse and then dry the vehicle. As your truck is black which can show smears and hazing try Adam's Gloss Guard. Spray on, wipe in with a damp microfibre and then buff with a dry microfibre.
You can wipe with a foam cannon. What I do is rinse foam rinse foam wipe that way it gets rid of the heavy dirt. Also if you use a bucket to rinse the sponge down in between panels it will help keep the sponge cleaner and won’t scratch the truck
I use foam for a while. The secret is to wait to let the foam do it's work (3-5 min)! Use fabric if you want to handwash your car but to be honest I rarely do it. Do it often and you will never need to handwash your trucks... Also, you really need to remove the foam perfectly! Rinsing is very important.
I use pressure washer to remove grime and debris, foam cannon whole truck, rinse with pressure washer (surface is as clean as possible) then soap+mitt re rinse with pressure washer then I use a backpack to blow off as much of the water so it doesn't mark. Black is a tough color to keep from swirling/streaking. if its a sunny day I try and wait til dusk or a shady location.
Hey ken you mist it by 2inch to far forward you could see the rust on slide rail keep them greased what i did was spray paint spot on track,.dont hammer to lock just bump truck back & forth look at vid when you slid plate truck looks good
The streaks you might be seeing could be scratches in the paint. Try using a the 2 bucket method and a microfiber mitt to minimize dirt getting caught in the sponge. Also, black paint is much more difficult to clean.
Depends how dirty the vehicle is. Sometimes doing it touchless works good. After a while there will be a film left on the vehicle and will have to scrub
Looks good bro..just a touch thicker foam amd u got it...u wanna foam it then hand mit the whole care rinsing yer mit out every other body panel. . Check into a company called adams i loveeee their stuff SUDS IN THE BUCKET
Sorry. I thought I'd do a second post. For best and safest practice, wash the vehicle out of the sun, if unavoidable, try to foam the side nearest the sun last, rinse this side first, then refoam with a more watery mixture nearest the sun, wipe with a microfiber mitt, pad or pole (sponges come in two forms, open cell and closed cell, pen cell is where a large piece of foam has been cut down to size, this has bubbles that have been cut open and will trap dirt which may lead to scratching of the paintwork closed cell is where the foam was poured into a form, such as a grouting sponge, these are safer on the paintwork as they don't trap dirt, but don't use pressure on the paintwork when using). When sunny, just wash one side at a time or do it early in the morning before the panel temperatures get too high. Dark coloured cars will get very hot in the sun quickly. To avoid water spots, use a rinse aid or Quick Detailer to dry the vehicle and add a little protection. Do you have a P.O. Box or address I can send a couple of things for you to try? Sorry. It's really sad, but car cleaning is my relaxing thing and have been doing it for quite a few years now.
These things are the best way to get soap on something, but the soap doesn't do much by itself :( You still have to get out the old brush or something and hit it with that.. which is where scratches and swirls come from. I have used these foam cannons multiple times with multiple different soaps and it never does much by itself. I feel they are over hyped a ton, I can do the same thing putting the soap on the brush from a bucket.
sssooo, its the old suds in a bucket cliche!!!!!! good review! i have a similar one that i bought to do our trucks, its work! but, our water is so hard that we are forever fighting water spots!
I don't believe you're supposed to sponge it. Spray it on, let it sit and then spray it off. If you really want, you can take a step further and buy an air dryer from a company called Adams. They make a product called a Airforce Blaster that has a 1.3 hp motor in it and blows a large volume of heated & filtered air. It's like $80 USD on Amazon and allows you to protect your paint without ever scratching it or anything. Totally worth it imo.

Adjust the nozzle on the top. Set it to negative so less water is used so you can get thick suds to really carry a lot of dirt/grime off
I realize I'm late to the party on this one but it just popped up on my feed. This was a really satisfying video to watch.
Suds in the bucket! Thanks for the applicator and soap info.

Suds in the bucket! What kind of pressure washer do you have?
Try the Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss , thats what i use on my pickup , atv and the dump truck i drive . It has a wax in it.
The streaks you might be seeing could be scratches in the paint. Try using a the 2 bucket method and a microfiber mitt to minimize dirt getting caught in the sponge. Also, black paint is much more difficult to clean.
Ah yes good idea
I would use a clay bar so you wont get streaks. use a micro fiber towel too if your drying in the sun, and move fast.
Suds in the bucket looks good all shined up but ya missed a spot lol👍👍

Yeeeppp. Pretty satisfying 🤣🤣

I bet it's because you left the soap longer on the tractor because it took longer to work around it because of size.
Better foam , same water with 1.1 orfice
