I used a snap on 3/8ths drive electronic torque wrench. An inexpensive torque wrench from lowes, homedepot, an autoparts store or harbor freight would be more than adequate for a DIYer. If you want to splurge on a digital torque wrench, I know several people who have this one from gear wrench and they really like it. @ Thanks for the reply. I’m buying a torque wrench since I don’t have one so my next question is will the 3/8 drive be all I need for this repair and most other maintenance for this vehicle like fluid exchanges for example or will I also need the 1/2 drive for anything? Also have you already done a video for all fluid exchanges or could you? Thanks again for your time, I’ve subscribed to your channel.
Most 3/8 drive torque wrenches can torque up to 100-120 ft/lbs which should be adequate for most repairs a diyer will tackle. I will definitely post more videos on the pacifica in the future. I greatly appreciate your support! Good luck on your endeavors @SilvanoSenzamici
Brake cleaner, it's a really aggressive solvent, though, so you have to be careful. Safer bet is to use carb cleaner. Thankyou for watching and commenting.
Just called the Chrysler dealership about changing the plugs. They told me it is a $700 job for them to change plugs in the Pacifica. I've got 172,000 miles on the original plugs.
That's a good chunk of change you could save by doing it yourself. I'd get those plugs out sooner rather than later. Thankyou for watching, and hopefully, it helps you change them yourself.
@@TheUt666 I ended up buying new plugs, and coils for like $250 then took it to a local garage. It took them around 2 hours and was charged $180 for the labor. Total I spent was $430 vs $800 at the dealership for just plugs.
almost but you didn't show where the intake was attatched to motor. You said you would but didn't. Everything else was ok but more lighting for sure is needed.
Snap! Good catch, I completely forgot it's a small bracket at the front of the engine. I definitely need to invest in a light bar that clamps under the hood. Thank you for watching and commenting.
No wonder why Machinist tell me i need new motor for my 2018 pacifica when dead on road, tow in to Chrysler dealer at Kansas City. Take my van back Home and i found out its need new starter motor. $150 for that. We don’t have to disconnect the battery?
I like to live life on the edge! Haha, it's a good practice to disconnect the battery. Good call.
Which torque wrench is that and what size?
My torque wrench is a 3/8 drive 100 ft/lbs snap on and the spark plug size is 5/8ths. Thankyou for watching and good luck with your repairs

what did you use to clean the EGR valve?

My dealership quoted me almost $1000 😅
But this video seems too complex to do it on my own. I will for sure forget to reconnect something back

@@ORTLIEBRC $180 for 2 hours of labor is a good deal. Most shops around me are 125-190 an hour.
@TheUt666 it is not that difficult of a job!

For something that needs to be replaced on a regular basis, they don't make them very easy to get to!
I know right! Its like they engineer them to be difficult for the everyday guy to work on...
