To add to what's been said about Minx, I want people to remember Dreamcatcher's conversation about reliving their happiest moment vs erasing a failure. It's hard for some of the members to think kindly about that time...but their past experiences also add an extra dimension of sweetness to what they're experiencing now. They've done well and part of it is because of what happened with Minx. I just hope that the ladies know that it honestly wasn't them, it was the oversaturation of the girl group market of the time. Minx is what made me realize that talent doesn't matter in K-Pop and that other factors like company size, branding, and timing matter a lot more. They also debuted in the same year as Red Velvet and Mamamoo. 👀 Yikes.
I also hope they know them not having their first win also isn’t their fault. They always release good music and work hard and it is enough to deserve a win. The issue is the fandom is mostly outside of Korea and there’s nothing we can do to help their digitals. Digitals take up a huge part of it and it’s hard to win unless the other artists also struggle with digitals. My fear is they blame themselves for Minx and then for not having wins now. I know they can see logic but sometimes when things are personal it’s easy to see it differently. They’ve been talented since Minx era. Minx concept didn’t really fit any of them though. Dami and Yoohyeon were literary kids and it’s awkward how sexualised the concept was considering their ages. Siyeon I think felt uncomfortable with how sexualised it was too I mean we haven’t seen her in clothes like that or performing choreo’s like that since. SuA is a really talented dancer (they all are) and Minx choreo didn’t really allow her (or any of them) to show that. JiU doesn’t seem to hate minx era but I think it’s hard for her as a leader. As she admitted, when new members joined them she thought “are we not enough?” Leaders always feel the most responsible when things go wrong and I’m sure she beat herself up about it a load even if it wasn’t her (or the other members) fault. The concept didn’t allow her to show her full potential though and I think even though she could pull off that concept really well, this one allows her to really show how good she is. During Minx era they done a few dance videos and the covers were always badass songs. Everyone was confused at why such a strong and badass group had that kind of concept. Changing into what they are now was huge and super brave and now each member gets to show off their potential and not be made uncomfortable. I’m also sad because Siyeon seems to think people bring up Minx because they preferred Minx era Siyeon. Everyone loves this Siyeon and Minx is only brought up because of the drastic change in concept. I mean they went from cute/ sexy concept to badass rockstars. They should also know we love them all as they are now. As long as they’re happy it’s all we care about. I think although it was a hard time for the Minx 5 they should be proud of it because it’s part of their journey. They were never bad, it just wasn’t the right concept for them. I mean if Twice were the ones who sang love shake it would’ve broken records and won in loads of award shows. Like you said, company size is most important in K-Pop. There just wasn’t room for a group from a small company to stand out when big companies were debuting groups with the same concept. Although dreamcatcher don’t have the popularity they deserve, considering their company size the fandom is pretty big. They’ve worked for everything they have and were never blessed with the instant success of coming from a well known company. They should be really proud of themselves. Music is art and you can't really force art. I mean I absolutely understand company decisions from a business standpoint, but companies don't have to be bad per se, as dc shows there can be a common ground for company, idols and fans interests and it can create something beautiful. Yeah, doing whats popular rn seems to be a promising strategy, but in this oversaturated market that is pop music, any newcoming group will be a gamble to make it or not, you might aswell make it a cool gamble... I understand Siyeon wasnt happy during Minx because she couldn't do the music she wanted to do and I'm very happy she is doing music that she enjoys now. But Siyeon has never done a bad job in any genre and even the music that she doesn't enjoy she makes great. She's a fantastic artist
I hope they boycott all the shows that snubbed them. They are moving up in the world. They could and probably should ignore people and shows that ignored them or mocked them or tried to sabotage their success.

My age makes me reconsider the whole process considering it takes minimum 6 years. I feel old af right now. 27 is just...wow. 28? Two more years and I turn 30. That is MENTAL. I don`t have asian genes either, so I probably look older than I am on top of it. Jiu is just an everlasting beauty. Not much changed from her days in Minx to now in my opinion. I wish people would stop mentioning MINX during live, at least when Siyeon and Dami are present. If you must bring it up, only do so with the members that don’t mind talking about it. Being reminded of time you were unhappy is not a good feeling. I know a lot of Insomnia like MINX, but please be sensitive to the members who had to live through that time.
I can relate to what they are saying. Suddenly you reach a certain age and think, wow, so many years have passed... There may be good times and bad times, but I think it is important to live in the moment and don't pay too much attention to your age, because your journey is never ending!

Like I said before- Minx era wasn't great for Siyeon, Dami and Sua- I believe it affected all of them- But Yoohyeon was quick to recover and enjoyed it better... or so I figure... Then Jiu, who seems to have recovered... But Siyeonie, Sua-ya and Yubinnie- For them, Minx era still remains as a rough patch in their lives... I will forever love this Siyeon more than Minx's Siyeon, as well as I will forever prefer Deukae's Dami and Sua over Minx's ♡ I still hope we can see short hair Sua once again- the moment that happens is the moment Sua's Minx trauma will seize to hold as much power over her. Short hair Sua is part of what Minx used to be so she hates it... I hope one day she can cut her hair short without hating it, that she have her hair short and actually like it ^-^
I don't think Jiu recovered as fast as she made it seem. I remember them subtly mentioning about how at one point in their life they were so stressed that it was easy to get angry and go at each other's throats, they were freefalling during a very dark time and I'm guessing her being Minx's leader at that time as well, must have received the double amount of burden. Being a leader means she's likely to be their anchor and the one who is expected a lot from both the company and the public, so there's a chance that Jiu had to pull herself as quickly as she could so everything wouldn't collapse entirely both inside and outside (the fans) while keeping up a strong face Yooh is basically a wildcard, but you could actually tell she was visibly a lot more sullen during her Minx era. I feel Yooh is more expressive on her facial emotions than her words/attitude and it's easier to tell when she's not happy and/or sad.

I turn 28 in march next year, and I am currently considering going for my 4th education. My age makes me reconsider the whole process considering it takes minimum 6 years. I feel old af right now. 27 is just...wow. 28? Two more years and I turn 30. That is MENTAL. I don`t have asian genes either, so I probably look older than I am on top of it. Jiu is just an everlasting beauty. Not much changed from her days in Minx to now in my opinion. If I look at pictures of myself when Minx was active, I look like a child that got lost at the playfield. Something happened after I turned 25... And it`s not good!

I don't think Jiu recovered as fast as she made it seem. I remember them subtly mentioning about how at one point in their life they were so stressed that it was easy to get angry and go at each other's throats, they were freefalling during a very dark time and I'm guessing her being Minx's leader at that time as well, must have received the double amount of burden. Being a leader means she's likely to be their anchor and the one who is expected a lot from both the company and the public, so there's a chance that Jiu had to pull herself as quickly as she could so everything wouldn't collapse entirely both inside and outside (the fans) while keeping up a strong face
Yooh is basically a wildcard, but you could actually tell she was visibly a lot more sullen during her Minx era. I feel Yooh is more expressive on her facial emotions than her words/attitude and it's easier to tell when she's not happy and/or sad.
Yoohyeon entering the vlive and instantly tumbling over accidentally is just peak Yoohyeon😅😂❤️ Also, is it me or has JiU's chin shape widened slightly? It was sharp and V-shaped but it looks wider here. She looks more mature because of it😌❤️ All of them speaking English 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️

I prefer their natural dark hair color. It's already perfect! They could still play w cuts/styles, or a color every other year, but this excessive bleaching won't end well. Lots of idols regretted it already upon seeing half or more their volume disappearing. Deep shiny black is such a perfect contrasting color.. That said.. 😁 they all looked/look stunning w colored hair, I just wish they'd chill w it and listen to docs vs fans who only care about now.
