Seeing this video today is perfect timing as I am getting ready to do door cards on my 850. How did the double-sided tape work out? Initially, you were having trouble with adhesion. Like you, I would rather avoid attaching them to the door with screws, which is what thefactory did. If the tape worked out, what brand did you use? did you tape all the way around the sides and bottom orjusst attach it in spots...? Thanks. The car looks great!
@@jamesbassett1484 thanks for watching! It worked for awhile, but using some 3M trim tape would have been much better. Any local parts store has it in different widths. That what I ended up using.
Looks really awesome! I am fairly new to this but I want to understand if this woolenish material is good for fairly wet and colder areas? did you just put this to insulate from the heat or I missed sth in the video? would you use sth else if the car is to be driven in a place where there are 4 seasons and sometimes there is quite a big of rain and gets cold as hell? i mean is there any difference what is to be added below carpets depending on the climate or this would have no impact? thanks a lot for all your videos!
@@paulamihaljevic-juric460 thank you for watching! The jute material I put down under the carpet was pretty standard type material from manufacturers. You can use something different but that’s up to you. If it gets a heavy rain with the top down that will hold the moisture for a bit until it dries. So just keep that top up if there is a chance of rain. Normal wet shoes, etc won’t hurt it.
@@AperionPhones I’ve used two kinds with success. I used the 3M Super 77 and Gorilla glue industrial strength spray adhesives. Had good results with both.
You're really moving along. Everything looks great. Some creative solutions as well.
Wow, not bad at all! Doing it all in black makes it look more OEM. She has a 1960's/70's exotic car look to the interior. FIAT on,Cheers;)
Great job!!!

@@GarageTimeTV So you used a different tape?I have just ordered some 1" 3M schotch 5952. I take it you have not resortedto using screws.
@ no screws. I had good luck with 3M
@@GarageTimeTV Excellent! Was it foam tape? I ordered non-foam because I have seen the foam fail when the bond did not.
@ non-foam
Looks really awesome!

What spray adhesive were you using?

Quick question what size are your wheels?
They are 15”! You can get them from Vick Auto. That’s where I got them
@@GarageTimeTV yeah when I bought mine it came with 13s but almost everything on Vicks says out of stock when I go to add to cart
@@depr3ssed_carto0n42 give them a call! Sometimes it’s wrong on the site.
Who is your carpet kit from? Sry if I missed you mention it. Thanks
Vick Auto Sports!
Why didn’t you just get black, doesn’t the paint wear off in time
No actually. It has held up really well and looks great.
