II just hope they sell enough of the various C 424 packs they plan to release to justify making a C 628. I have waited a long time to see the C 424 in Train Sim. DW have done an excellent job.
I love these, I love that they did some Alcos, and I adore that we finally see some Century series in Railworks! DTM could take a few pointers from DW. Theyve come a long way since they first started dropping stuff for Brazilian narrow gauge way back when. I always love seeing new and more overlooked items in simulation, it adds variety to the typical F and geep and SD series stuff we always see in every sim ever made. Especially stuff like these
DW has outdone themselves with this pack, about damn time some Alco units have been getting love in TS Classic. One of the shortlines in my state (Morristown and Erie) used to have a pair of them but one of them is at IRM, while the other is based at URHS also in NJ.
Also i wanted to say, im very sure it has a dynamic brake since the selector is there. I dont know what it can be for otherwise. Think its like on the GP20.
Most ALCos had dynamic brakes, it was a huge selling point for many eastern roads hauling coal on steep grades, like the CNJ and the Reading. CNJ loved their ALCos.
There's definitely a door sound. It's very low, not real clanky like metal, but more of a whoosh/squeak almost. 24:37 when you open the door while starting it's almost like a squeaky door with WD40 on it, its ready to squeak again but it's still wet.
You missed the little tidbit on Wabash's 424s, the B number series these had indicated that they were not lead qualified. The reason they were not, is because all of the controls were labeled purely in Spanish! Once they got on in the years, they were eventually corrected. Also the green class lights they use are actually pretty correct in their color depiction. Railroad signal green tends to be a bit more blue than it's usually shown as in most things.
I’ve been waiting for these units. Glade that DW managed to salvage their reputation, many just go by the way side. Can’t wait to get these and run them on Adriana County Route.
Is it too much to ask for some MLW CP units and the big M-630's and 636's with authentic Defasco trucks? I'm dreaming now but desperate to relive my childhood along the eastern part of CP's system and specifically Agincourt yard in Scarborough. Oh the 70's....How I miss you and the big Action Red Multimarks.😁
They got more golden oldies coming! They're taking commissions as well apparently... if you got the coin and want something give em a shout. I know a dude is getting a PennCentral skin/model alteration for about 25$.... not sure what an entire model would be
Im really impressed on this pack. I already got a few locos from DW in the past, and i can tell they also had a decent touch when it comes to model and texture quality, aswell as their weathering. Really nice. But also sad that im actually not really into the TS business, otherwise ib would buy the Alco´s too.
Absolutely incredible. Kind of random but I want a third party dev to make a modern pax locomotive like an SC44 so DTG or DTM can’t Bork it to oblivion.
This is just faptastic. Even the radio works. The cab is outalrageous. The sound...think about it, this is out of the box good. There is nothing to mod. Now as far as the exterior is concerned to really bring out the fine quality of the modeling I'm thinking gray a little yellow and a nice maroon stripe on the side is really gonna bring this baby out. Just saying. I'm gonna wait for the 02 pack.

Always a good day when he puts up a new train simulator video

It would be awesome if they did 18 and 19, just nowhere to run it besides the Morristown Line.
@@MattsTrainArchive Friend of mine is gonna do repaints of both M&E units
Nice little packaroonie indeed. Love to see M&E or E&L on these suckers fosho
Well, it's about damn time! Been hoping for these engines for a long time.

I saw the M&E one at Whippany. It was a very nice loco. It sure did steam like an alco.

Good videah as always but the "red as a happy male dog's unit" reference was a little obscure. 🤣
Yeah. My mind and mouth dont work together alot of the time 🙃

I would like to see that aswell maybe even a Alco rs18u
I wonder if there will be models that have ditch lights
What route is these?
other than the shaking, thats pretty solid on what it sounds like shutting down in person
The GBW is a non-Dynamic unit whereas the Wabash/N&W are dynamic equipped
ON the website I see 'Scheduled Operational Physics' as a feature of many of their locos. What does that mean?
could you do a realistic start up in first person plz
add cp cn bc rail and return to yellowhead pass
Even though the Century series diesels were hunks of junk, their just something so fascinating about their appearance.
Yes hell. Def one of the most iconic
At last, Centuries in train sim.
ALCO locomotives seems really similar to older generation GE locomotives.
