That's the anime. Chapter 1 in manga is Romance Dawn with Luffy is a kid and we meet Shanks. Alvida is the first human after he meets after he punched out the Sea King.

That quiz is wrong, Luffy's first Opponent is indeed the Lord of the Coast, but if we only go with Humans, then it's Alvida.
and not counting flashbacks cause then it would be higuma or that guy with blue in the name from the sabo flashback

Technically, he also fought Higuma (don't remember if that was an option).
Yeah the first quiz was pretty bad, same with the Katakuri question
As a teacher, I enjoyed watching this for one simple reason: making quizzes is actually pretty hard. If you're not careful with your wording, you can lead your students to interpret questions in a way you don't really want. For example, "who does Luffy fight first?" is a terrible way to put it. You can answer it in a lot of ways: Porchemy (the earliest in his life we actually saw), himself (he cut himself with the knife in one of the very first panels), Higuma (he did challenge him but couldn't do anything). The quiz maker even forgot about Alvida. A better question would be "Who did Luffy defeat first in the series?" It sets a specific time (series release vs narrative time) and a specific condition (Luffy beat the Lord of the Coast in what was clearly a fight between the two).

the 7th member is Franky, as told by Oda himself by the chapter title "The Third and Seventh Person" for chapter 439, referring to Ussop and Franky respectively. this is kinda amazing cause by that time Oda already gave out chapter titles of "first, second, fourth" but left "third" open cause he knew he would make Ussop leave the crew for a while. Most one piece fans dont know this. and btw, he still hasnt gave out chapter titles of "the fifth and sixth person"
Yeah, but Jimbe is the 10th member, Brooke is the ninth, so that would make Franky 8. Robin 7 chopper is 6, Nami is 5, Sanji is 4, Ussop 3, Zoro 2, Luffy 1. I think that is right but I’m unsure
@@chezlord992 luffy is captian and didn't join his own crew he was already in it so zoro will be first and so on.
Chez Lord99 there should be no argument here since Oda himself already assigned numbers for each of them as he included it in some chapter titles. Zoro is 1st, nami is 2nd, ussop is 3rd, sanji is 4th, Oda has not given the chapter title 5th and 6th person which makes me believe chopper and robin will leave the crew at some point, 7th is franky and 8th is brooke
That second quiz is so 2013 with so much extreaneous text basically saying "ho ho, look how quirky I am". It's kind of nostalgic in its cringe

In retrospective Y Ruler of Time almost beating Tekking in a quiz competition has become a lot more impressive after years of of Tekking being virtually untouchable in that regard.
That feel when tekking made less mistakes than the quiz makers on their own quiz.
He is more intelligent when it comes to one piece than the actual one piece wiki.
Piiman is actually the kid in syrup village who looks like a green bell pepper. Piiman literal means green pepper in japanese.
FYI, Onion is Tamagonegi and Carrot is Ninjin

Morgan still is technically predated by Alvida, unless that right wasn’t in the manga.
It was, in manga first was the flashback with Higuma and the seaking, then was the fight with Alvida where Luffy met Coby, after that it would be Morgan.
Hiekkalinna I even thought Higuma might count though I don’t really remember him and Luffy really fighting. More him beating Luffy and Shanks’s crew putting his stupid ass in his place.

Just an idea but it would be cool if Tekking did a video on the possibility of Yamato joining the Straw Hats.Honestly he's funny and would be a fiat version of Kaido so that would be useful in battle. Him and Luffy I think have more potential for comedic moments than half the crew.

Hey Tekking, I have 2 “What if” video ideas I’d like to see. Could you make a video talking about what would’ve happened if 1) Garp defected from the marines after Ace’s death in order to train Luffy for the timeskip and 2)What chopper’s life/fighting style would’ve been like if Dalton had found him and raised him instead of Hiruluk since their fruit transformations are similar?
