Barrows is genuinely something that feels empowering as a first entry into boss fighting. you get to do a few switches, get into a rhythm, and show off that your account has become capable. Hopefully someday I can start doing Tombs of Amascut
Always been just an afk skiller but recently started to actually explore what the game has, doing all the quests, and slowly work my way into bossing. My first real PvM was against Jad. Hoping to be able to do other bosses and raids like Tombs of Amascut real soon
Vorkath is a great boss that isn't too hard with decent stats. You have to focus the whole time, count attacks, manage venom, and turn prayers back on. It's also the place that a lot of people use to learn woox walking once they're more comfortable. You also get lots of money and the guaranteed head drop at 50 kc for a best in slot item is so useful. Amascut
@@badgherkin3302Woox is a person… he’s a legend as far as Runescape goes. Man has done things nobody else has done before and continually finds ways to innovate in the game. There is a mechanic in the game named after him because he famously used this mechanic. It’s called Woox Walking. Essentially clicking the boss then clicking away from the boss repeatedly in order to keep your character in motion as well as able to be continuously attacking.
Personally tombs of Amascut is a great place to start learning, not only does it require some pretty solid quests that teach you some pvm tactics, but the raid it's self teaches SO much!
Started playing this game in 2020. Tombs of Amascut was my first ever raid. Your videos and other youtubers helped me a lot. Got my quest cape in February. Surprisingly, Phantom Muspah is my highest kill count rn. Used your elite void guide to get over 70 kills. Thanks for all the great videos!
My first ever boss was Obor and it was scary af at the time! But barrows was deffintly my favorite as it taught me about gear swaping and how important prayer was. Also Amascut (:
you have tens of thousands of people watching these vids within the opening days man. Think about that; that's like entire cities just sitting and watching your stuff. You deserve it man! Another quality guide tysm. Can't wait for you to do all those UIM guide videos.... ;)
Great video! KBD was where I started and where I sent everyone who asked me where to start learning. It gets people out of the shell of not going into the wilderness, its kinda brain dead, has a chance at a pet, as well as it pays for the supplies that you use while boosting confidence in bossing. Entry Tombs of Amascut is also a good suggestion!
Sarachnis definitely taught me how to time prayer flicks - looking forward to giving the tombs of Amascut a go. Calvarion is a great early Boss choice too!
Working towards doing Tombs of Amascut currently, just got my first firecape yesterday so starting to figure PvM out. Thanks for the guide Kaos! Subbed!
great video! personally, barrows and KBD are where I started my bossing career. Kraken and Cerb were good stepping stones as well. everything basically leads up to the Tombs Of Amascut. it's the best money maker in the game, and the devs have made TOA accessible to lower-level players.
Defenitly tombs of Amascut is my favorite, it teached me so much by just starting at lv 0 and building it up when i started to get toa clears without breaking a sweat
Definitely Barrows. I recently got into playing members and keeping track of the prayer and attack style required for each brother was a very new concept. Amascut
Tombs of Amascut is going to be a lot of fun whenever I get up to that level! For super easy starting bosses, it's worth at least mentioning at the bottom of the pile the two F2P bosses, Bryophyta and Obor. They're not super difficult, but they introduce you to a couple mechanics that require you to prep for multi-phase attacks. But they're pretty low on the totem pole...
I personally like the big blue dragon of Amascut. Vorkath is a great money printer and much easier to learn than Zulrah or gauntlet. But you have to stay focused the entire time :) Either way, great stepping stone towards your end game pvm journey
Kaoz. I just dropped into your stream to tell you how great you videos are, then I stumble on this one. I was literally asking this question about an hour ago. You’re the best.
I love the Grotesque Guardians, I learnt so much there: Movement, gear switches, prayer flicking to counter both Dusk and Dawns attacks, managing specs... Still enjoying them a good bit every gargoyle task. And if you make a mistake it's not overly punishing. Also ToB entry mode, lizardmen shamans and demonic gorilla's are good learning experiences. Surprised to not see Vorkath on this list as I find it easier than Zulrah. Amascut.
The first PvM boss I really got into, apart from stuff like Jad, was corrupt gauntlet, and while it took about 30 deaths to learn, and another 10-15 or so to be above 50% success rate, it really made me a lot better and I was able to learn a lot of other things pretty quickly. I would say the most important thing it taught me was to not waste ticks eating and to only eat when necessary. It's a massive DPS boost.
Started osrs 3 weeks ago and been playing pretty much non stop since I got laid off. It's been a great way to pass the time and I'm excited to start bossing soon! Can't wait to do Tombs of Amascut with my friends later down the line
My personal favorite is Sarachnis. I learned prayer switches, some quick prayer flicking, gear switching, and inventory spots with spec weapons. As I got better, I tried to shoot for conservation of supplies and getting multiple KC within single trips. All of that for a shot at an alright pet and great GP for what you learn (although, not great compared to other bosses).
learning gauntlet really opened my eyes to prayer switching and pathing/movement, and i would highly recommend it bc theres no gear required. but my favorite is still vorkath. learning ToA right now tho! Amascut :)
Amascut Personally, I believe Vorkath is a great place to start PVMing because once you can get Vorkath down, you can dominate nearly any other boss in OSRS 😎
Just tried the grotesque guardians last night and got all the elite combat achievement and all the others that go with it done on my first Kc. 10 kc later I get launched and stacked by boulders again. Grab my stuff and go back in. Stacked by the yellow shoulder and boulders again. I won’t be stopped. I’ll be back at it tonight after work. Going to be a few months before I even try the amascut entry mode. But I have my goals set!
My go-to as of late has been Zulrah of Amascut, once I learned how to do it, it became a challenge of trying to drop my personal best as much as I can with the low/mid level gear I have. At about 70kc now and got a tanzanite fang drop at 43kc! The prices have dropped as you mentioned in the video, but the prayer changing and gear switching is essential for raids down the road
Amascut I would recommend the Deranged Archaeologist for people to start their PVM journey for the following reasons: - Teaches you basic movement - Noob friendly - Not in wildy - Easy to learn - Low level requirements
Amascut. I think my favorite starter boss to learn PVM has been Barrows and Sarachnis. I had a friend teach me how to do both of them and it helped me get those easy combat achievements. Barrows certainly taught me the importance of Prayer Pots and Sarachnis has helped me learn to not panic in a boss fight since all the little minions can shred your hp if you aren't paying attention. Barrows is certainly better for drops but Sarachnis is better for a challenge.
I'm starting to get into the PVM midgame and I've just been doing Gauntlet so far! Been really scared of Tombs of Amascut even on lower-levels, but a swamp trident would help that fear ;) Thanks for the vids!
Thank you so much for this video! I've seen some of your other videos on the subject and they have helped a lot. I think this is a great list that is more or less accessible to me at my current stage of growth (or at least the "entry" ones!). It helps to see the progression of what's out there and give me something easy to start with and a path to progress along as well.
Amascut! That said, I think the TzHaar fight caves is great for teaching prayer flicking and learning how to use movement and objects and even mobs to your advantage. Also fighting Jad for the first time was terrifying even knowing what I was supposed to flick one mistake took me out and with the amount of time invested teaching one how to remain focused for an extended period of time.
I think a great starting boss is crazy archeologist, you dont have to worry about the wilderness but it still teaches special attacks, movements, and supply management... Amascut
after playing Leagues 2 and Shattered Leagues, this video is helpful for me to start bossing on my low level account without all those different buffs from stamina to attack speed. Amascut
I started Barrows a few days ago as my first ever entry into PvM. It's insanely fun, honestly. I genuinely enjoy Barrows! I'm not good at switching and prayer flicking so I've been using it to hone my skills a bit. I'm already at 101 runs(Currently doing one as I watch this) and I've got 8 Barrows items so far. No Ahrim yet though. I'm gonna try the Dagannoth Kings later today
I think Tombs of Amascut is a great mid-level on entry mode. I struggled but learned a lot, though I think I have learned the most from Zulruh!!!! Money Snake baby!!!! Thank you for the videos, absolute LEGEND! LOVE IT! Keep grinding! OSRS name: 17lbs
I feel like barrows is a good one to start off with, you only really need a decent spell and decent bow, and it shows how valuable prayer can be in mitigating damage. Amascut
I know there are easier bosses I can do but a friend of mine and I have constantly been trying general Graador. Even if we get recked, the journey is so fun. Do whatever you enjoy. AMASCUT!
I would say Barrows is my favorite boss to start off with. I know the requirements are a bit high but the first boss I really grinded was Vorkath.. Amascut
I've got base 80's but always struggled getting into bossing even though I've always wanted to pick it up. Recently got into Vorkath! It was an easy learning curve, and haven't died yet in my first 25 kc. Definitely recommend! RSN: Jake Tanked Amascut
IMO, the Tombs of Amascut is the best raid in terms of profitability and overall enjoyment. However, the best boss to begin your PvM journey would probably be Barrows. Only took me a few runs to get the hang of it and get a few pieces :D
its not profitable. its just pure rng crap. do 100 runs which takes almost an hour each for a chance to win an item which can cost anywhere between 5m to 1.5B. no ty, better stick to vorkath or zulrah for consistent money.
I think Bryo and Obor are good entry points for bossing, and wish they weren't gated behind key grinds. Mole is alright too. I can't wait to do Tombs of Amascut but haven't quite got the account progress there yet. Soon!
My bossing journey was going straight into Zulrah with 0 pvm experience, camped it for 1k, finally got bored, progressed my account enough to do ds2, got addicted to vorkath because the gp, killed it 2k+ times, got pet, went back to zulrah for another 1k, No pet yet at zulrah. Decided to do muspah for a break, and loving it so far. Don't have Tbow, but I use bowfa with ancestral/sang switch and get 2:50 kills on avg, not the best, but still similar gp to vorkath without tbow which is better than zul'rah, highly reccomend muspah to people stuck doing zulrah and vork and getting bored with it, the quest is super easy to do also. (also I have cleared 1 entry ToA, and 1 , (150) ToA, and haven't tried 300 + yet, I one shot the 150 and decided I was happy with it until I grind more gold for better gear. I've probably made 300-500m since then but am so addicted to solo bossing lol.
Haven't tried Tombs of Amascut out yet but it's on my list to do soon. I think Spindel is a good boss to learn, have to move for the web attack, kill Minions, change prayers, can block most damage if paying attention, also can help reaction times when you have to tele from pkers also has has decent drops, a pet and an expensive rare drop. Very easy to learn too.
I gotta mention the KBD! While there aren't any special mechanics, KBD teaches how to manage one's health, prayer points, and potion effects. Also, at med level, demonic gorillas (even tho they're a demiboss) are a nice challenge and do a good job of teaching switching both gear and prayers. Glory to Amascut!😊
I’m CB level 104 and I had written off TOA as end game. Didn’t really consider even entry level as possible til I was in 90’s. But now I think I’m going to give it a go and maybe try to see if I can risk the 50 invocation and see where I get. Amascut. Thanks for the quick and good unscripted guide!
50 invo is easy, just don’t turn on any of the set lives mechanics, and you’ll have infinite lives to practice, if you are having a hard time with 1 room just do that room and leave the raid until you’re comfortable with it
Vorkath was the first boss I grinded to get a Lance and start raiding. Definitely a good mid level boss. Now that’s I’m more experienced I would recommend Amascut though;)
I'm going to learn Tombs of Amascut and then spam it since you mentioned its a great way to make good GP. I've just been doing tons of barrows for GP and its just not enough.
I've only started going into the bossing fights. But so far I've had a blast with the Barrows which so far is my favorite one and deff one I'd say is good to start out with. I do plan to go more into it as I get gear and level my skills. So hopefully one day. I can do the Tomb of Amascut for the cool gear.
I definitely need to learn how to do Tombs of Amascut but I keep wanting to level up my skills so I typically stick to Slayer bosses for my PVM experience. I personally think The Barrows Brothers is probably the best entry level boss because they are very easy to defeat, the gear needed to get started is very cheap, and the gp made is pretty decent, especially with the Mortania hards completed (somewhat easy). The Giant Mole is also pretty easy and gives pretty good gp, although The Baby Mole pet is really the only cool thing to get from it.
I think KBD is a good boss for beginner PVM. Don't need high levels. Just bring antidote, antifrire shield/pot, a super restore and some food you can sit there as long as you have food. AMASCUT
I think the gautlent is game changer. It is introduction to the flicking, tick manipulation, switches etc.. But Amascut is simply best. Easy to learn, hard to master.
I haven’t tried tombs of Amascut yet, but really want to get into it! For me Graar has been a good time with a crew for good money and good experience that is pretty relaxed!
I'm surprised you didn't list Entry TOB. I just did it for Night at the Theatre and was surprised how easy and fun it was. I really only struggled at Verzik but got unlimited tries at it so eventually beat it, and I've never done PVM outside of Barrows/Giant mole
for the first clip with the muspah, what plugins are you using? The tile ones, and the one that highlights the stuff in your inventory seem pretty useful
My favorite years ago definitely was barrows brothers. The dropping items on death stopped me from doing pvm back then but I was always comfortable with them. Hopefully I can finally get use to the Tombs of Amascut and get some good drops.
good guide kaoz, ive been taking a bit of a break atm from game, my rng is complete trash right now, but im close to completing several quest end bosses and making a huge ton of progress for the account, maybe jagex will gimme a break and drop me some rng so i can complete my tasks in next few weeks lol gl bro thx again for guides looking forward to catching up next stream its been a while
Awesome video! Ive got a question though: you suggested minimum equipment but what about minimum combat level or combat skills? Can I just assume it is whatever number it takes to equip the minimum equipment? Also my giveaway application: PvM is a great way to Amascut some gp!
Barrows is genuinely something that feels empowering as a first entry into boss fighting. you get to do a few switches, get into a rhythm, and show off that your account has become capable. Hopefully someday I can start doing Tombs of Amascut
I need the update, did you try out toa yet? Haha

You could do it with base 70s combats
50 invo is easy, just don’t turn on any of the set lives mechanics, and you’ll have infinite lives to practice, if you are having a hard time with 1 room just do that room and leave the raid until you’re comfortable with it
Calvarion was great for learning some movement for me. Amascut
Vorkath was the first boss I grinded to get a Lance and start raiding. Definitely a good mid level boss. Now that’s I’m more experienced I would recommend Amascut though;)
The Tombs of Amascut may be the best raid to start, but i personally recommend starting with the classic Barrows as i did.
You really got me with the bad rng threat, I liked the video asap!
Easy to learn, hard to master.
never tried Amascut, i got my first bond by getting the essence of Bryophyta, so nice memories of that f2p boss!
Cool video! I went to Calvarion right away. I don't understand why Aura is only for Americans, I would like to use it. Seems pretty useful.
I haven’t tried tombs of Amascut yet, but really want to get into it! For me Graar has been a good time with a crew for good money and good experience that is pretty relaxed!
Thanks Kaoz!
Tombs of Amascut looks fun but its scary to me! I started out late but my brothers and I's first bosses together were the DKs. It was tons of fun!
I'm surprised you didn't list Entry TOB. I just did it for Night at the Theatre and was surprised how easy and fun it was. I really only struggled at Verzik but got unlimited tries at it so eventually beat it, and I've never done PVM outside of Barrows/Giant mole
Love how you use age of empires 3 music, Sarachnis was the 1st boss i learned how to do, Amascut
for the first clip with the muspah, what plugins are you using? The tile ones, and the one that highlights the stuff in your inventory seem pretty useful
NPC Indicators and Inventory Tags. Watch my latest Plugin video for more info
I love Throne of Bloods with Verkitz :)
My favorite years ago definitely was barrows brothers. The dropping items on death stopped me from doing pvm back then but I was always comfortable with them. Hopefully I can finally get use to the Tombs of Amascut and get some good drops.
If you use a ring of stone after sarachinis binds you it will break his bind so therefore you can have more dps.
Just got my first ever Sarachnis kill on my GIM 😊 Was a bit rough with the stats/gear i have but i did it with no food left lol
Wicked video, what are those tile plugins you're using and the one against phantom muspah?
Kbd is where I started! I can’t wait to dig into Amascut.
good guide kaoz, ive been taking a bit of a break atm from game, my rng is complete trash right now, but im close to completing several quest end bosses and making a huge ton of progress for the account, maybe jagex will gimme a break and drop me some rng so i can complete my tasks in next few weeks lol gl bro thx again for guides looking forward to catching up next stream its been a while
im getting ready to take on tombs of amascut , but i started off with brytopha and then barrows, looking to get quest cape very shortly.
I started with Vorkath, it's easy to learn at the begining
Vorkath is a great starter. Would love to try Tombs of Amscut though
I usually just solo pvm slayer bosses. Hydra my favorite.
Amascut
Awesome video! Ive got a question though: you suggested minimum equipment but what about minimum combat level or combat skills? Can I just assume it is whatever number it takes to equip the minimum equipment?
Also my giveaway application: PvM is a great way to Amascut some gp!
