I keep promising myself a visit to your nurseries. So pleased to hear that you grow your plants outside. So many times I have visited nurseries to see lush green flowering plants that have clearly been brought on under glass. I feel so sad for the novice gardeners eagerly putting these plants in their trolleys. They will be so upset when the poora plants shrivel and die and all their money wasted. Shocking! Thnk you for sharing your nursery with us. Happy gardening 😃

What fun to see how you manage the nursery! Very interesting!
I would also love to hear how you prepare for the big shows and where you get inspiration from.

Thanks for sharing this. We are planning a visit on either the 6th/7th May (combined with Beremill open day) and my ‘shopping’ list is getting longer. I’m so looking forward to it. 😊

What a good idea. I think I might do this too...a trip to Rosy's and then Bere Mill. Could get expensive 😂

Hi Rosie!! Another great video. Are the areas of the nursery you show open to the public or do you just move selected plants to the shop?

Awesome! So you guys take them out of the cooling tunnels some time in late feb/early spring depending on the weather? I'm curious as to approximately how long they stay in the cooling tunnels after you've started them if they're first year plants? I have some hardy perennials and annuals that I've started indoors, and when they've gotten to a fair size I've been trying this thing where I put them outside in a clear tupperware container so they can be a bit warmer than outside but cooler than inside, for about a week or so and then transition them to fully outside after that. I try to make the transition when it's at least in the 40s outside. We had a freak cold snap though and some of my plants' little containers got partially frozen... Miraculously the plants are still alive but I hope they'll recover. Can't wait to get an actual unheated greenhouse but we haven't built it yet 😢. I could just keep the perennials inside until the Spring maybe but the annuals (I'm growing Limnanthes) I'm afraid might start blooming prematurely or something if I keep them inside for too long. Of course I should have planted them in the fall but I didn't get them started in time.
