I know I'm late but for anyone reading this -when you truly feel such a way about people in his field, as well as other industries, the only person able to give him a raise is YOU and it won't cost you anything if your already looking for a vehicle or even simply know someone who is and you refer them to buy through him. He'd greatly appreciate that I'm sure!
@@jonathanporter424 Well I do. I have a 2006 525i and it is a pain in my ass. I also own a 2007 Lexus LS which NEVER EVER failed me once. All the little electronics in it works too. So sitting here in 2020, if I'm gonna upgrade my car it will definitely be either a Toyota or Lexus.
I thought you were crazy at first, but as I continued to watch this and saw how much fun you were having with just this remote start...I was saying to myself "More people should get excited about things like this, look how much fun we could all have!" ..I don't think this will work on my 2017 Prime, but of course I have to try it!
I just wanted to thank you for this info! I have a 2020 Tundra and was told by the dealer that I could only remote start it using the smartphone app... which is presently not working. I tried this and it worked flawlessly! Funny that RUclips is so much more informative than their own paid "product specialist." Thanks again!
This information is great. I have a Toyota Highlander 2020 Platinum trim, the specifications of the car indicated that it had remote start; but the dealership did not show me how to do it. Instead, I was told that I had to get an aftermarket installation (which meant more money) because I did not pay for remote start. However, after reading the owner's manual and watching several videos on RUclips, I realized and learned how to remote start my vehicle with the key fob. It is unfortunate that I had to figure out several features of the vehicle on my own, after spending so much money to purchase the vehicle. Owner's continue to search for features that the Highlander 2020 has, you will be surprised and delighted. You need to get the worth of your money by using all features. On another note, I think that dealerships need to learn all features of the cars that they sell to better informed buyers, and not have them spend unnecessary money to enhance their cars with features that were already included by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
2018 Camry XSE. Just bought it today, the salesman didn't even know. Just tried it and it works exactly as demonstrated, TAP TAP long press and VRooOOOOM. Thank you so much! I was already super happy with the car now I have another enormous reason to be excited!
I install remote car starters and although we loose the sale it's nice to see people react when you tell them you already have a starter. Actually most still get it if they need more range then oem remote.
GOT TO SAY THANKS JEFF!!!! I have a new 2020 Camry and could not get the remote start to engage. Didn't even know if I had it or not? I read owners manual and all materials supplied and NOT one word about remote start! Found your video online and you saved the day!
Thank you for the tip Jeff! Just FYI for those who've been looking for it like me: "To turn off your Toyota engine, you can press the UNLOCK button on the remote or press and hold the LOCK button for 2 or more seconds."
I have a 2020 Toyota Camry XSE and I didn’t know I had that feature until after watching this video and I tried it and it worked, thank you so much for this informative video.
Yes it worked for my toyota corola hybrid 2022, thanks so much for sharing! I was just looking around to have one installled for winter so that I can start my car and get it warmed up before work!
HI Jeff, We just tried it on a used 2015 Toyota Hybrid XLE we just bought our son today in Florence, KY and wait ... it also worked on his car. It started just as you described. Remote start on a 2015 Toyota. Thank you
Yes, they just released an email to your GM about a week ago letting you know how it works, which system comes with it and for how long it would work. If you waive remote connect services then it actually won’t work. Read up on it, good stuff.
I just did this on GX 460 the I purchased 3 years ago. I am so happy to see it works. I feel bad for my wife, she used to go out in the cold to turn the vehicle on for me in the morning. Now we have a garage and when see saw me do this her face said so many nasty things to me lol. Thanks.
Jeff, as a fellow Toyota sales person I thank you for all that you do. You are a treasure to Toyota and Toyota salespeople everywhere. Much love from PA
Wow, just tried this for my mom's new 2019 Avalon she bought in May after viewing your video & it worked!! I questioned about remote start being on the car when she bought it because I was with her. The salesman said it could be done through Toyota Connect & a phone, but didn't mention the key fob at all. Now for this to keep working may hinge on a Toyota Connect subscription, but that will remain to be seen in the coming months. I'll have to come back & update you. A flagship model should have remote start at the very least even before using the app. So we'll see!! Thanks again for that tip, it worked!! By the way, we're right down the road from you in Salisbury NC. My mom got her car from Hendrick Toyota by Concord Mills in Concord NC!!
I bought an 18 xse and they didnt tell me about it either. Took me 4 months. Apparently my 2013 had it too. It had the entune suite. Never found that out till i got rid of it. Lol
And I bought my car with 3 miles on it and got a 19 xse with emotional red color panoramic sunroof no good audio system but in December 2018 and here it is 18 months later and I find this out 🤣🤣🤣 I wanna buy a car from guy he is awesome and funny
Not too fast, this feature has an expiration date, I heard it will only last for 3 years after you acquired the vehicle, after that you will have to pay to toyota 8usd/month for using that an other features, too good to be true right?
I just tried on my Toyota corolla 2021 hybrid and it also works! Thanks for sharing 🙂. OBDII port is able to accelerate, brake and turn. Wondering if we can remote control our cars to picks us up 😮
Try Clicking it 4 times and then holding on the 4th. I ran into a guy yesterday that has a 2013 tundra and it works that way for his. I would be very intrested to know if it works on your 2019.
It works on my 2020 Camry XSE, you sir are a lifesaver I asked the dealer if the car came with remote starter and they told me no, they told me to download the app that it was free the first year I had to pay after that, so now I can use the app for a year and forget about it after that, thank you sir!!!!
Just bought the Windchill Pearl w/ black top XSE! I wish Jeff was my salesman 👨💼. But then again I would feel guilty about haggling on the price with him since his videos have basically taught everything I know about my car!!! Thank you Jeff for the work you do!
@@Dipp182 Ours is a 2019. I'm pretty sure every Toyota has remote start, they just make it more complicated than it needs to be. My Genesis GV70's is so much easier, you just hit the lock button once, then hold down the HOLD button for 3 seconds, easy as that. Or you can just start it from your mobile phone app. Toyota makes you press like 3 or 4 buttons and they have to be pressed at the exact right time for the the exact right period of time. I'm surprised Toyota doesn't have a mobile app yet, maybe they do. The Camry is my wife's car so I don't drive it much, but I will have to check on that. The XSE is still a gorgeous ride too, especially with the windchill pearl and black roof, plus the red leather.
@@Zero8880 so my follow question would be, is it a v6 or v4? It's hard to check if it only works on a certain model. I agree that white pearl and black top is pretty sweet. I have a 2019 Camry SE which I like so far …… though it lacks features my 2013 Altima had standard. The Altima was just a SV which is a mid model car. It still came standard with push button start, remote start, security system and setup for satellite radio. Hey men thank you so much! I was looking for something to start my car without leaving my house and sitting in cold car ! Thank you thank you! I was wuhiiiiiiing like this men on the video !
For some reason, Toyota thought it would be smart to have the car turn off when you try to get in it... why not be like all of the other manufacturers that require you to press the start button once more with the keyfob in ur pocket and have it stay on??
Lol the excitement, wow I wish I had your energy. I have an old 97 Toyota so these videos are not helpful to me but hey still learnt something new and I can help others who have Toyotas. Plus you are helping so many ppl so Ty for this info mate
I don’t like that it turns off. It should detect that I have the keys in my pocket since it already has smart key system integrated. Plus why can’t they make it to where it just stays locked..
It still does that in the newer models. It's some ridiculous safety feature they put in place to keep the car ftom being stolen. But it's so dumb, beacuse the door is locked. Someone can just as easily take it if you just open the door and they come up behind you. Only benefit to warm up vehicle on cold days or get it cool in the cabin on hot days. Other vehicle with autostart, if you have the fob when you touch the door handle it opens and you get in and just put it in gear and go.
Jeff my man I love the videos and the energy! So this little trick worked for my 2020 RAV4 Hybrid XSE but as soon as I try to open the driver side door to get in the car then shuts off? Anyone know why this is?
just tried this on my 99 silverado. It didnt come with a key fob so i just turned the hand crank windows so fast a G force was created. long story short i flung my truck to the next county help
Unfortunately this only works if you have an active subscription of Toyota connect. Once it expires, remote start from the fob won't work. I know, I've tried.
Juan Hernandez if you reactivate your subscription, it will work again. I tend to use it more during the winter months so I’m fine activating when I really need it. 8 dollars a month isn’t bad, if you were to install a remote start system it would cost you hundreds of dollars.
Audio Plus vehicle key fob functionality is available for up to 3 years. Beyond 3 years requires a subscription Does it mean this remote start feature will stop working in 3 years?
THAAAANK YOUUU..I tried it on my 2020 Tundra and it worked. I’ve watched tons of videos and never knew I had it . Love your videos and enthusiasm and knowledge.🙂
i have had my corolla xse since 09/19 and i had no idea...and i went outside...AND IT WORKS. no one at the dealership showed me this...sigh...now my life is forever changed.
Would the behavior be the same when the car doesn't have remote engine start? I tried testing for remote start on my 2020 camry, but after holding down the lock button on the 3rd click, the hazards flash, the infotainment system turns on but it won't start. Is that that normal? Or am I missing something to allow my car to start remotely

Didn't know that. Just tried it on my Corolla Hatchback XSE and it didn't work either. Not sure why Toyota keeps something like this behind a paywall.
Juan Hernandez if you reactivate your subscription, it will work again. I tend to use it more during the winter months so I’m fine activating when I really need it. 8 dollars a month isn’t bad, if you were to install a remote start system it would cost you hundreds of dollars.
@@PhillyFan20 I like their cars but I hate this on them,, they're always behind their competitors.
@@megatron98 that make sense,, I might do that,, specially we re just starting the summer season in California .👍
Audio Plus vehicle key fob functionality is available for up to 3 years. Beyond 3 years requires a subscription
Does it mean this remote start feature will stop working in 3 years?
Just so you guys know this feature is available with most Toyota vehicles my 13 land cruiser has that too
Very cool!
I have a 2021 Camry se. and yes it worked. But when I try to get into the car or unlock the car motor turns off?
Thanks for the tip, Jeff! And you can bet I'm comin up in May!

I would visit this guy's car lot just to see his hysterical antics, and by chance I may just purchase a car because he kept me purely entertained.
Surprise surprise doesnt work on my 19 Tundra SR5 With audio plus but neither does the remote connect app or entune, feel a little jipped there.
Is it works for Camry 2009 ? 🙈🙈
For this do I need to have the remote connect subscription or is it just standard with the car
Standard
It worked for my Chevy Silverado. Thanks. I was so excited. Chooohoooo
It works great and I open my door and it turns off super annoying pain WTF?
@@calebpringle4913 you have to open car with remote and dont press on brake until you turn your car on with key,

Didn’t work on my 2020 rav4 LE. I have the siriusXM logo.
There is a blue light that stays on near the pedals and center console on my 2021 Avalon hybrid. How do I turn it off?
Didnt work on my 2019 Camry SE with Convenience package/BSM

@@zafarrizvi In the video, he has a 2018 Toyota Camry and it worked. It looks like an LE, because of the front grill.

Love this guys energy! 💪🏾😎🙌🏾
Will this work on 2019 Highelander SE?
I have a 2017 highlander limited platinum and there’s an SXM lable on my radio, but this technique doesnt work. Any suggestions?
