Crazy you have almost a million views!! Great work bro!! Luv the reviews man! You should do music reviews on the 'Big Albums'. I'd like to hear and see those reviews and presentations as well! 😎👍(Super Cool my man!)
I just got the 2060 model for $1400 from Best Buy. I upgraded the ram to 32gb and added a 1tb SSD. Keep in mind if you get the model with 16gb it is only 1 stick and running in single channel which will decrease your performance by 20-30%. Totally worth grabbing another 16gb stick for $80 on Amazon.
@@TechJungle or at the very least 2x8. It's not easy upgrading this laptop as the motherboard is put in with the components facing the top of device. Meaning u have to disconnect everything.
Dude I literally did the same exact thing yesterday, except I’m having Best Buy do the SSD and RAM upgrades so I can still get their protection plan. The stupid thing was... I had to buy my own RAM and bring it to them because Best Buy didn’t have a SINGLE DDR4 Notebook Ram Stick available for sale in the entirety of their system. Dumb as hell lol but I’m glad we worked it out. Hope you enjoy your GS65
Does the power button work as a fingerprint scanner too? And if we plug our earphones to the headphone jack only will the mic work while video chatting or gaming?
The 2060 is 6Gb DDR6 vs the 2070 which has 8Gb. You won't notice too much of a difference. At that price point I think getting a Gtx 1070 might be worth it.
Picked up the 2060 model over the weekend for $1500. 8th gen i7 and the new 9th gen has the 1660 i believe which was 1700. My desktop has a 2060 as well but only a second gen i5 and the laptop performs on par if not better than my desktop. It also runs CAD programs pretty well. Huge upgrade from the old AMD Turion with 4GB ram lmao.
Would your recommend this laptop or the GX502 from Asus? I'm planning on buying one of those but I'm not totally sure which of these 2 laptops I should get? And do you think the 1070 Max Q of the last gen is better than the 2070 Max Q for the price-performance ratio? Thanks. Keep up the reviews :D
Thanks! I think I would stick with the GS65 as it’s a little cheaper and you get 32gb of RAM, which I think is more important that deciding on the 1070 or 2070. The 2070 will get you slightly better performance but to me it’s not worth the added cost at the moment.
@@TechJungle And what about the 2070 Max-P on the GX502? It has better performance than the 1070MQ and I think the price is similar between the GS65 with 1070MQ and the GX502 with the 2070MP
I already bought the msi gs65 stealth with rtx 2060, do the 2060 and 2070 make a huge different? After watching this vid i regret buying those 2060. Can you please answer rhis question thanks
I think you'll find that the difference in frame rate is about 10-15 less than the 1070 on average. That could be due to the 2060 only having 6gb of DDR6 memory vs 8gb on the 2070.
@@TechJungle They are making an RTX 2060 super so wait for that one because the value of my version dropped so fast when they announced the 9th generation and the rtx super. :( It dropped $500 in value.
I picked up one over the weekend, was on sale for $1500 at best buy. All games play ultra at MINIMUM 60 fps, average 80 or so. The screen is pretty amazing as well.
I also just got a gs65 and it doesn’t make those sounds either. However I do have a question; When I go to display settings it says that the display is connected to the Intel UHD Graphics chip instead of the Nvidia RTX 2060 is that normal? When I did the benchmark test it says that I am using the Nvidia Gpu. However, When I play Fortnite my max fps on low settings is around 125-130 fps is that a good number? I thought the 2060 was a bit more powerful than that so I am actually a bit concerned since I am not even reaching enough fps for my screen refresh rate (144hz) and that’s like I said before on the lowest settings...
I’m glad you’re not experiencing the same quality issues that I did. As far as the FPS on low settings, I would check some online forums with your exact setup to see if anyone else has the same issues. I think for the 2060, you’re probably getting the normal FPS for that card.
MSi really went down in my eyes with this flimsy chase.... no way i will pay more than 1k€ for this build quality... if i will move laptop daily in my backpack..
That's kinda sad. I was really thinking of buying a 2019 GS65 after this: www.theeverydayenthusiast.com/home/comparison-2018-gs65-vs-2019-gs65. But it does make some horrible sounds in this video O_o It doesn't really look like the author is pressing too hard

That's a pretty good deal! I think these laptops should all come with 32gb nowadays.

Did opening your laptop voided the warranty?

thanks for the review. I find the RTX2060 version is on sale for $1399+tax. Is it worth it?

Yea I don't have deep pockets and I bought one with the RTX 2060.
Do you like it?

Nice review. same specs besides gpu, 1499 for 1070maxq vs 1649 for 2060. Which one do you think is better?
Thanks! Definitely go with the 1070. The 2060 isn't going to give you better performance and plus it's cheaper!
Recently bought 2060 variant with 9th gen cpu
How are you liking it so far?
@@TechJungle its great purchase
What was the price when you purchased it?
Is the screen brightness high enough for most scenarios ? That is a concern for me.
Would you say it's worth getting the 2060 version, or going with the previous generation 1070?
Does it flex around the power button as well? Thank you.
Yes it has a flex around that entire area.
There is also a cheaper new version with gtx (not rtx) 1660 ti
Well in france, the rtx 2060 is at 1999 and the gtx 1660ti is at 2049...
9th gen i7, 6GB 1660ti, 16gb, 512GB SSD for $2200 CAD, worth it?
Not a bad deal, I’d get more RAM, preferably 32GB.
Is it better to buy the gs 75 or gs 65?
I would say the 65 with a 2070 card is perfect for price and performance.
bro, my gs65 doesn't make all those sounds.
I think you got a defective unit.
I might send it back for a replacement then. Good to know!

Are you satisfied with the build quality? I am only asking because I just ordered one and those noises annoyed the hell out of me.
Is it that much better than the 2018 1070??
Nope, I returned and got the Razer 1070
@@TechJungle Thanks for the reply. I just purchased the 1070 for 1500 but I saw the 2060 for 1649 and was wondering if it's worth it to get the 2060.
I wouldn't upgrade to the 2060. You're losing 2gb in VRAM and the payoff isn't worth it.
Great review! 😊 If you want, you can watch mine! 😊

Yeah I went ahead and returned it for a 2018 Razer Blade!
