Hi Sahabat Droners.
Kali ini saya akan membagikan trick untuk memperbaiki baterai phantom 4 yang bermasalah.
Kebanyakan permasalahan ini terjadi saat kita membeli baterai baru untuk phantom 4.
Pada saat di tekan tombol power tidak satupun LED menyala.
Lalu bagaimana cara memperbaikinya? Silahkan ikuti langkah dibawah ini :
1. Buka cangkang baterai Phantom 4 dengan hati-hati.
2. Lepas kabel Positif dan Negatif dari board dengan menggunakan solder
3. Lepas semua kabel balancer
4. Periksa nominal tegangan baterai, apabila tegangan nya terlalu lemah silahkan kamu charge dengan charger digital hingga voltasenya naik. (kurang lebih 15 V)
5. Lepas IC dengan seri IC BQ30XXX
6. Bersihkan sisa - sisa timah yang belepotan di board baterai
7. Ganti IC dengan seri IC BQ30XXX dengan IC yang baru.
8. Solder kembali kabel positif dan negative ke board baterai
9. Pasang semua kael balancer
10. Coba tekan tombol power. Apabila LED telah menyala berarti baterai anda telah bangkit kembali.
11. Pasangkan kembali cover baterai. Selesai

I let one battery too long without using it - it died - Got mine working by just resetting this chip not replacing it
1. Disassemble - glue holding it together wasn’t strong and case just opened using plastic pry tools - No Cutting needed.
remove balance cable
2. Charged battery at 1A 15V for 20 minutes using a bench power supply direct to the red and black thick lipo wires (I didnt desolder them)
3. Removed bench supply and Tested with voltmeter - battery was now almost 15v
4. With no charger - and balance cable still detached - LEAVE for 2 Hours (this part is important to fully deplete the ic of this video of power)
Reassemble.... - and it worked!

So you have the negative going to the black lipo wire and positive to where? I am a noob to this but I am trying to trouble shoot this problem without having to buy a new battery. Thanks.

The BQ30xxx IC is a chip that requires programming. (Just lookup the datasheet) Installing a new chip from the factory without being programmed correctly for the current draw and capacity of the battery is a bad idea. You could easily overdischarge or overcharge your battery and burn up your Phantom or burn down your house.

@Ktotam what about cutting off any power to the chip and connect it again. It will reset the data without having to replace the chip.

How to Fix DJI Phantom 4 Dead Battery / How To Repair Phantom 4 Battery.
Hi Friends Droners.
This time I will share the trick to fix the problematic phantom 4 battery.
Most of these problems occur when we buy a new battery for phantom 4.
At the moment in the power button press none of the LEDs turn on.
Then how to fix it? Please follow the steps below:
1. Open the Phantom 4 battery shell carefully.
2. Disconnect Positive and Negative cables from the board by using solder
3. Remove all balancer cables
4. Check the nominal voltage of the battery, if the voltage is too weak please charge with a digital charger until the voltage rises. (approximately 15 V)
5. Remove IC with IC BQ30XXX series
6. Clean up the tin remains on the battery board
7. Replace IC with IC BQ30XXX series with new IC.
8. Solder back the positive and negative cables to the battery board
9. Install all kael balancer
10. Try press the power button. When the LED is on it means your battery has bounced back.
11. Reattach the battery cover. Done
This step has been proven and successful, I do not recommend that you fix your Phantom 4 battery and I am not responsible for your loss and failure if you follow this process. May be useful.

Forget about lemonizing that battery. I had the same problem and all it took is 2 days charging. Woke up and I have fully charged battery. Flew the drone and gave me an almost 30 minute flight

@@152602008 The only option is to reprogram the chip, which holds relevant information about the batteries status, i.e. charge cycles, etc. including if they have flagged it for discharging. I've just attempted to remove the top of the battery, using acetone to remove the glue, and it made the plastic, of the top, brittle. i.e. there is no non-destructive way to get into the battery. Best of luck.

if the balance plug is off for over an hour the IC will reset no need for a new one... and the battery will just work again

the new update however fixes this and will not reset... i lost a battery on this method luckily the other batt was not updated and could be recovered ! I have to be careful now as it had to be updated in the aircraft for it to work properly with the updated firmware of the aircraft
Not sure which firmware my battery is running. Is there any danger to opening and removing balance plug? Do I need soldering tool?

You guys don't need any chip. It is enough to disconnect balancer connector and charge directly connecting to 2 wires. Health of your battery is another story. Mine seems to lost to much capacity.

This is a WRECKLESS and dangerous approach. If you can crack the case which is the hardest part, by removing the clip end first, then splitting the tabs on the upper and lower housing. Then simply Lift up the circuit board and remove the 5 pin sense line, let it drain for 5 minutes then reattach and reassemble. No soldering required.

Just to put new battery in the charger. If charging will start then battery is activated.
If no then it needs to precharge the cells and reprogramm IC bq30z55 to clear Permanent Failure flags. But IC replacement as shown in video is bad idea.

Sorry, bad idea in my opinion! Lithium Poly batteries are not to be trifled with!
unless you know what your'e doing. What the video shows isn't anything extremely difficult. With Lipo batteries you just can't puncture the battery pack itself. Working on the pcb is like working on any other pcb. Remove the power from the board and it's safe, just don't puncture the battery pack itself, moisture or stabbing them with a metal object what makes them catch fire.
By people with no electrical knowledge, yes. I was able to use an intelligent bench top charger on the NiMH profile with sensing to gradually ramp the current to 1.0A and 15VDC to safely rejuventate a P4 battery directly at the main cables from the LiPo cells. A novice would have hit it with an instant 15V 1.0A with a wall wart or bench supply which could be dangerous. Knowledge is key when working with them.
