I recently read that Tartakower referred to the Ruy Lopez as the Spanish Torture. I think it is such a fun opening for both sides even if the pieces dance around for a few moves. I'm absorbing the lines. The Berlin Defense, the Tarrasch Defense, the Schliemann Defense ... I know the names but that doesn't help me win games. According to Lichess, the game reviewed in this video is Ruy Lopez: Closed, Chigorin Defense. It looks like the 5..Be7 gets it to the Closed game and 9..Na5 is the Chigorin Defense of the line.

Black castling early in this game is a Dare. Black is announcing that he MIGHT play the Marshall Counter Gambit. Whitr can take the Dare or go Anti-Marshall.
